Ah yes, shame I went all that way really but it was needed. Was always thinking upgrading towards the end of the year but the T came along earlier.

I had problems with my washer motor on the 172 and took me an age to work out how to remove the washer bottle.

Have a quick question re the air filter which is fitted - the cold feed which goes down into the wheel arch is not connected to the filter - is this the correct fitment? A cold feed connects to the filter but it sits just in front of the radiator.

Had a similar problem with my old 172 but mine was the mid section of the exhaust (near the hanger) which had rusted cat end, had horrid smell too.
Worth a check.
