Have found an old receipt from Longlife which says.......
Fabricate and fit Longlife custom exhaust rear silencer section to vehicle...........
Assume this is just the backbox?
Warning light was due to one of the HT leads not being connected properly (i hope) and after leads fitted correctly it runs fine.
Can I try ecu reset or do i have to get a reader to delete this?
Went to local exhaust centre and it was a hanger on the exhaust which had gone hence needed welding.
After welding still has a blow so taken it to Kwik Fit and they said the welding is not 100% done
Will have to try and delete the warning light too........
............and now car sounds like a scooby and stinks!
Any ideas what has happened?
Cat gone I take it!?
Car is sat in work car park and need it to get home!
Tried a new coilpack with no difference hence returned that.
HT leads arrive tomorrow so that is next on my list.
Has anyone else had a lambda problem and it was NOT detected on Renaults CLIP system?
They did say that they were tested too without any negative readings.
Help!
Got the pulley part from GSF for just under £30 so complete aux kit only £85.
I think the CUP model only needs the belt as it is tensioned by the alternator.
Cheers
I have read this may affect the starting of the car, mine starts first time every time so hoping this sensor is ruled out.
Any thoughts?
New leads, coil pack and lambda arrive next week so process of elimination coming up!
Have some running issues and wondering if a Lambda sensor fault would always be spotted on CLIP?
Chap at Renault did sasy the O2 sensors were all ok but I do not trust them :dapprove:
Will be checking mine next week - when I did the sparks a month or two ago they looked clean. There is a sensor right next to one of the holes which often leaks oil so wondering if that is your problem?
.........its driving me nuts! Any updates please let me know. Ordered some new leads so trying that first.
If I order a few parts can I return them if they don't cure the problem?
Thanks
..............both front seats do not slide backwards and forwards very well, is this common with the 172's?
Tried WD40 but wondering if grease may help?
Thanks
Renault said oxy sensors were ok so ruling that out for the mo.
Cheers for the replies, will try HT leads / air leaks then off to get a coil..............
