From that article it sounds like that if he drives quick etc you will be forced to pay additional costs on top of the original payment? What happens if he does or what happens when they think he is and you don't agree? It could work out more expensive in the long run! Might be worth reading...

I went with what Fred suggested (he even managed to get an awesome deal on the tyres for me at short notice). Haven't looked back to be honest, they have been awesome and look just right (imo) :)
I had a quick chat with the RAC about this, they said that if I broke down due to a flat they would take me to a maximum of 10 miles from where I broke down (to the nearest tyre reseller).
Do you not have to take out your insurance with them to take them up on their breakdown cover? I did...
