Thanks mate kept it pretty quiet really until we got a good start on it, It all seems to be coming togeather now.... just got to rebuild the head tonight with jord and put everything back on the engine and time it up. Then its all ready to drop in lol.

Its abit annoying having to do this to a suppose to be perfect engine, but in one way im glad we have done all this as i have learned so much about the engine and how it work and how things go togeather ect ect.... really enjoying this now

poss yes, were not using those as we have a new set with the head that we got, looks abit of a mess really considering it has recently been re-built

Once the head was taken off we then started to remove bit off the block so that we could clean and paint it. I removed the water pump pulley and gave that a good clean up, really supprised how much dirt there was on the engine.

Yep, messed about with the engine all day y'day. Took the rockor cover off, cleaned all the old sealant off as you do, put new sealant on, put the rockor cover back on tightening all the bolts in the specific order and to the specific torque setting, went to time it...
it will be alot louder if your putting a de-cat on, also will fail an MOT, but you can always just swap it back. I think the emmisions warning light will come on too but im not too sure on that one...
Few ways that you can lower the car mate. You can go for a set of springs as was suggested above, if your going lower than 40mm on springs it may be advised that you uprate your shockes aswel, or you have the other option of coilovers. Just have a search around the forum and sure you will find...
