A few pics from yesterday, me and my mate from work thought we'd get a few pics of our Clios together.
Shame our other pal wasn't at work yesterday as we could have got his RB 182 cup in on the action too!
In the pics you can compare the fabia splitter to the genuine Renaultsport...
Here is one quick picture I took the weekend ( before my camera died ) of my new VRS front spoiler I put on the monaco.
Fits pretty well and doesn't look out of place!
Will take some better pics soon, too much rain last weekend.
Next weekend it's time for a new nearside inner driveshaft...
My Ph2 172 is currently on 35mpg, highest I've had it is 37.8 and that is on over a range of 2000 miles since the trip was reset.
I drive on B roads mainly.
Honestly don't think you can beat a RS 1*2 for MPG/fun factor.
That looks smart, I love the phase 1's especially in that colour.
I wouldn't say the car was dated though, I think it's all part of their charm.
Sometimes cars that look different and futuristic date quicker than others, think megane II or Astra H sporthatch, when they first came out they...
Welcome to the site bud!
For mats I'd go for some Renault accessories ones as non manufacturer mats seem a bit naff IMHO.
First cars always a special one, enjoy!
I had my PAS pump replaced when i had the cam and / aux belt done couple of months back and the water pump and pulleys and tensioners etc. Thing still whirrs, quietens down after a while. I replaced the PAS pump for excessive play and the fact it was starting to leak, every 172/182 I've ever...
It does seem that way, if it's not a clio on here it's a civic or mx-5 ( also had one of those too! ) we all have good taste it seems.
Yeah they are lovely motors.
Though I must admit I was after a milano red one when I was buying but this one was too nice to walk away from!
Honestly If I had to have just one I'd have the Clio.
It's a better all rounder, the type-R is just all about driving all the time and can get a bit tiresome when you just want to get somewhere It's a bit hardcore in a way, but that is what a R is all about.
Good engine in that Civic though and...
Thought you'd like a update.
No plans on selling just yet, totally loving it though.
I'm planning on getting a 172 cup as a restoration project and in 2 minds about changing my Type-R for a 182 Trophy.
choices choices.
Yes its a new steering wheel, fitted by one the previous owners.
A couple guys at work have 182's and both of them have worn steering wheels, that would do my head in!
As for the lowering suggestions I agree it would look better but, if i want a hard ride I'll just use my Type-R thanks!
One of...
Sounds like you found the worst salesman ever. Was the Dashtop made from soft touch plastic or rock hard plastic? Rock hard indicates cup model. though it could have the cup suspension specced on a regular 200.
It did have silvatec indicators when i bought it but i took them out as i prefer the orange, stickers are pretty marmite but they are so dark you hardly notice them in the flesh.
Just a few pics of my days work giving the Monaco some love :p
Some pics of the Renaultsport flag graphics I've added to the rear quarter panels, you can't quite see it in the pics but it says Renaultsport on the side skirt ( where you'd see the trophy sticker on a, um, 182 trophy )...
My mate has a 3 year old and a 2 year old and his car which he has is a ford puma, no need for a big old people carrier. Though i once took the pushchair out of the boot and couldn't work out his method of putting it back in :S.
As far as the Renault advert goes could also be used as a advert...
I have a RS172 and a EP3 Type-R. The RS172 I use everyday for work and the Type-R is mainly wheeled out at the weekend, polished and then put back in the garage.
I will say at this point that I always wanted a EP3 way back when they were first released in I guess 2000/2001 and about a year and a...
