I've got a polished Airtec Stage1. The main cooling fins are actually sprayed silver with a polished intake and sides. It is second hand ( off FocusRSOC) and I cant decided what to do with it i.e paint it black or leave it silver, but i will be going for a logo (silver/Black or Black/White...
So after my well documented troubles with my first RS I collected my new one a couple of months ago. The car came fitted with a cat back miltek and a few black cosmetic parts, but otherwise it is standard.
Today was the first mod to be fitted. Montune air box lid and filter.
Before:

Looking good. I agree, the intercooler needs the logo! Likewise I think 400 is sensible target.
I've got a stage 1 airtec IC, eibachs and montine scoop, box lid and filter still to be fitted. Need to get it booked into collins, seem to have time to buy stuff, but not to get it fitted!
Re: Finally.
There is a few of us on here now.
I've had mine just over month and love it. Looks a great example, its the same spec and mileage except I have PB.
Very jealous of the immediate mods! Exhaust/Remap/Intercooler/Springs/Spaces are all on my wish list int he next 6 months.
Search SELOC you are member also iirc. It was during concept stage so probably 3 years ago, read about when I had an Elise.
Aren't GM a lot bigger than lotus? VX220? Aren't the various car companies that lotus do consultancy for a lot bigger? I can't claim to know the detail, but the 4C is a...
The lotus talk isn't as silly as made out above.
It's well know Alfa entered into discussions with lotus r.e. production/assembly but the deal wasn't agreed and Alfa did their own thing in the end.
OP story is quite possible, it is a RW rear engined car with significant torques/bhp. I had plenty of scary moments with a 160bhp Elise and 147bhp VX220. Even slow speed impacts do a lot of damage. A fixed object like a telegraph pole can do significant damage with 30mph impact.
Shame as it is...
Chris seem although your head wanted to choose the 335i, you keep swaying towards the FRS on both excitement and running cost. I had a similar debate with a different budget recently.
Had 20 - 23k and wanted:
- Good value retention
- No significant scares on repairs
- Fuel economy wasn't an...
Re: My new car. TTQS
gally agreed, its pretty tough to beat.
Had ours for 8 months now and runs sweet and has been pretty reliable, apart from a lamada sensor, airbag connect and needs another lamda sensor now.
It really flies though. Love the V6 on full chat. Its such a great all round car...
As for the house, it's in Kent... will be worth more significantly more than most average house north of Milton Keynes!
As for C63 love the colour :) not so fond of the wheel choice!
I have seen you refer to this on a different the thread... interior plastics?? Not sure what you mean, I am pretty fussy, but I have no complaints with mine... no rattles well put together etc. Significantly better than my old man's E90. Tbh, I didnt really want my C Class but chose it above an...
Dreaful colour... !! cross between gold and ochre yuk!
Lol yeah I had forgotten about the spitting oil out of the back when we when on a peaks run iirc!
