easy, mine did this. as you peel the back off you'll have to ease all the individual letters (in the place they came off) off the solid card bit they sit on onto the clear part. It's very easy and only takes a few minutes to do

Also, mine only did it when the engine was cold. Once it warmed up it was spot on!

I take it its a clio of some description? My 172 did this but after some impressive detective investigation work, I found it was where the cat meets the exhaust manifold. there was a slight gap and it sounded like it was coming from the engine bay, which was a tad weird. one new exhaust...
