No you should be able to get away with just a line activation if the service provider gets it right, if not they'll do as I said and send an engineer out on a fault report rather than booking an install, just thought if you try dialling 17070 it might tell you the phone number so you can then...
Yeah I've got a skoda one, sod paying renault prices for a bit of plastic, it's amazing the difference it makes to the look of the car having a splitter too, hated not having one when my original broke.
Was just wondering how this was goin, tis a shame your clio is off the road as me, chip n Lesley are gonna have a mini meet tomorrow nite at hankridge maccys, you could always pop down in your courtesy car!
Yes you still have to do it as a new line but tell them there is a socket with dial tone, they may be able to use your address to find out the existing routing that line uses and just make changes at the exchange thus not requiring an engineer to visit, although I've had a lot of jobs lately...
Good write up this, and the car looks sweet, I'm just getting into the detailing as well, just out of interest what did you use to apply the tyre gel?
Gonna have to try some of this ironx stuff too.
Gutted for you Emma, there are always accidents there, been a few big ones too, when I was reading through the thread I thought it'd be at that junction before you'd shown it!
I will at some point remove the rear seats but I rounded the torx bolt when I tried before and I've never got round to sorting it out, when I do I'll mount the harnesses better.
Yeah used the spray whilst claying, and it came with a small bottle of some kind of polish or wax and it said to use it after the clay to finish, probably could of given it a coat of decent wax too tho.
Yeah don't know what came over me!!
Meguairs clay kit, nothing too flash, just got a few things from halfrauds as the weather was good thought i'd give it a try spur of the moment thing.
Yeah the stuff i used was more of a wax i think, anywho the dull bit is actually just a lighting issue if you look closely at some of the pics you can see reflections in it, had a check when i finished work and it looks exactly the same as the rest of the car, all shiny!
Tom, here are a couple...
Well here's the thing, I used what came with the clay as it said to use it after claying, I should probably polish and then wax but I was so knackered and running out of light I thought its good enough for me!
I do see what you mean about the front bumper, might just be the lighting but I'm gonna have to check it out later. Spent 6 hours in total and it's still not a perfect detail! Was my first time though.
Tow strap is TRS as are the harnesses, not sure i really like the tow strap anymore either, it was ok for a while but may remove it soon, no interior shots as i spent so long doing the outside of the car that i neglected the inside, just needs a bit of a hoover really.
Think i might have a pic...
Cheers guys, yeah Saxo will be going up Wiscombe again this year as well as a couple other places including Castle Combe. Got to do a few things to it before the first event and ill probably give it a bit of a claying too, seeing as how it got rid of a lot of crap off of my paintwork.
