    Pro Speed Midsport with **pics**

What sort of drop have you got on the cup? Is it running the trophy turinis or have they been refurbed in that colour? And do you have 205/45 tyres on? Very nice exhaust btw, dont think I'd have the balls to go for a decat though. It would either be that exhaust or the 182 lookalike for me...

    Rattling under acceleration, any ideas?

    centre section of the exhaust?

    Skyline speedo vid

^^If I was paying that sort of money I'd want to see a dyno printout of the "900bhp", which was probably achieved when the car was mapped on japanese fuel. I think it would be putting out about 700+ , remapped on uk fuel.

    Weight loss

Thats if you have the heavy non cup items with the airbags. I'd assume the std 172 cup seats will be much lighter....

    Rare mk2 v6??

Are people not getting bored of turinis yet?!

It because the 172 cup is the best looking 2.0 ltr variant. Thats why everyone and their dog wants them on their bog std 172's and 182's ;)

    tyres at costco

Well it will be worse for the first 500 odd miles until the tyres bed in.... Which will still mean it will be easy to wrap ur car around the nearest lampost in the wet!

Engine oil has pissed out of my car.

I had this problem but it had dropped out the bottom of the engine as the renault garage hadnt done up the sump plug properly after its last service. No damage though.

My first tank of Standard unleaded

In terms of performance difference you would only notice this in a 172/182 according to allen collen on the renaultsport site due to these cars being mapped to run on the higher octane fuel. It does however help to clean the engine of deposits.

    172 Cup springs

Nope they wont be. Only for height IIRC not damping.

    Pioneer Head Unit Help!!!

Steering wheel controls can only be kept if you buy the adapter for it. Around £40. But this ive been told requires the whole top half of the dashboard to be removed to get access to it, if you have the dashtop display.... I had the same initial problem with my h/u, just make sure the rubber...

fao BENR, YOZ, MATT.. knocking or wheelspin in my cup......

I posted a while ago what when i came on and off the throttle in the dry that it sounded like the front tyres were breaking traction with the road in 4th on a dry road! I got a vid of it last night and it seems that its a knocking noise.... What do you think it is? Gearbox or engine mounts...

Washed and polished my cup last night!

Im not impressed with the front wheel refurb. They didnt get anywhere near the colour match when you look at the back wheel. (In the full side shot). Oh and these pics were taken on my k750i which I didnt think were too bad. Cheers Fraser

How to increase traction on 172 cup?

I'm not saying that its definitely wheelspin. I've given that as an opinion along with the mounts.....
  22. F

How to increase traction on 172 cup?

Eh? decreasing the weight, increases the pwr/weight and if anything would increase wheelspin! Talkin out your crack! ;)

How to increase traction on 172 cup?

^^ Did you miss me saying in the previous post that I said it "might" be the mounts? Geez talk about having a chip on your shoulder.
  24. F

How to increase traction on 172 cup?

Sorry I was mistaken about the 4th in the dry. Not a chance, only if the road is greasy. But as has been said b4 it might be a mount or something that is causing it. Sounds like a knock but similar to when the front wheels lose traction.

    Black Turini's?

^^ Is fred not involved with lab tec?

How to increase traction on 172 cup?

The 182 is heavier and has wider tyres... ;) Could make all the difference. Depends how heavy the driver is as well ;)
  27. F

How to increase traction on 172 cup?

I've just said above that the road was wet at the time. You better get running then! ;) Im just wondering whether this is linked to the steering wheel wobble I get at exactly 70mph, and I've been to 3 tyre places that say my wheels are perfectly balanced! :(
  28. F

How to increase traction on 172 cup?

Oh ive just noticed you have the slower 172 dave thats why you never experience wheelspin. Too much weight to shift about! ;)
  29. F

How to increase traction on 172 cup?

Does anyone then get what feels like wheelspin going into 4th when the road is wet or damp? From recollection it only happens in 4th when the road is greasy or very wet, and only with aggressive shifting.
