Second last day I have off work so the updates will slow down rapidly after this one!
The interior was in pretty good condition but really quite dirty, the mats were also worn out.
So a clean up, new mats and an alloy footrest thing just to bling things up a bit:

So the car was up and running well, but I had noticed that the coolant had gone a horrible rusty colour instead of the bright pink it was when I filled it. So i dropped the coolant and got some hoses on the go to flush it.
Also gave the areas behind the headlights a good clean as the bumper...

New here with a wee Clio 172 project that fell into my lap by chance. Nice and straight and with about 60k on the clock.

One other quick question on this, i have read than the ebay horseshoe tool is shite and bend when undoing the bolts etc, i have the renault pulley tool and crank locking pin, but an ebay horseshoe, will the horseshoe survive the tightening? I battered the bolts off with an impact gun so it...

So with just the 2 camshaft sprockets loose and the tensioner set, I will be ok to angle tighten everything, rotate the engine a couple of times, then recheck tension and timing?
In the workshop manual it says you have to rotate the timing assembly 6 times to equalise the tension etc. i understand that the pulleys are all friction fit. The crank pulley is so tight onto the crankshaft it does not want to rotate easily.
