A cheap horseshoe tool wont bend if the renault pulley locking tool is used, it will bend if the pulley tool is not used, but thats the wrong way anyway. Imo + thats what happened to me

If you have a combi you need the single channel version, nest controller is sexier but is not wireless like hive.

Because the solenoid seal only takes 20 mins or so to change, I would personally explore this before spending more than I had to, or putting up with spluttering due to soaked plugs. just an opinion

It might just be the dephaser solenoid seal, i would try that first
