i have exactly the same on mine mate, like you say only after starting up then begin to release the clutch and you get a click/vibration under your foot - ive been assured by ppl on here its perfectly normal, esp test or somert
get a cup you can get a brand new one for the price of a nearly new 182 and the cup already has the cup suspension and spoiler pack, you do lose a few toys though so depends what youre after, both mint cars, even the non cupped 182s
some runt out bid me at the last second on a top machine on ebay! AX 1.0 L reg, 70k miles, £320 and 190 to insure, bargain!!! plenty more i spose :cry:
ive had my car done a few times now mate and youre right you cant have anything decent, ive left all the standard gear in it and make sure i leave the glove box open when i park it, not that this will stop anyone - ive often considerd setting my car as bate, leaving some stuff in it then waiting...
bored at work (!!) and considering buying a cheap runabout as well as my 182, just something i can drive to work and the shops and not really give a sh*t about where i park it and keep the 182 for best. Been looking on autotrader for axs etc, somert for a few hundred quid.

Could somebody please explain the variable valve timing in the 172/182 etc. Ive noticed in mine that theres a kick at 2.5k and one at 5.5k but i believe this has nothing to do with valve timing, the 5.5k to do with coming on cam (whatever that means!!)

mate of mine went through a hedge and rolled his car avoiding one of those, luckily he escaped with a few scratches, the metro GTi which was new at the time was a write off!

The Saxo VTR is basically ideal for young dudes as its a 1.6 in a small car with cheap insurance and good for modding.
The VTS on the other hand is a s**t hot car!!
All decent cars at some point will end up in the hands of the scalls - see loads of saphire cosworths etc being driven around...
not really put this one to the test so difficult to say at the mo as roads aint the greatest this time of year. Saxo handled superbly tho, knew exactly what it was doing

mmmm interesting debate ive just switched from a vts to a 182 and theyre different cars in terms of power distribution. I do think the vts is a very good underated car, does need to be revd hard to get the best out of it, loads more low down grunt in the 182, both great cars though.
