I am a definite maybe. I'll see how i am feeling on the day before i decide. Saturday is going to be a late night, so might be feeling a bit worse for wear.
Spotted yesterday. Trophy was heading off the A12 toward Kesgrave at about 18:20. Inferno was heading down A12 towards Woodbridge from Kesgrave at about 18:30
No it isn't :dapprove: I was hoping it was going to get sorted when the car went in to have the Cam and Aux replaced. I was gutted when it came back and the noise was still there. I'm going to get some time off work and take it in to get it sorted. Hopefully for the final time.
The reason you can see it is because this video was taken in between the old cambelt cover being taken off and the new one being ordered and fitted. The old one had been loose for the best part of 20,000 miles (previous owner never recified it) and is the reason why the cambelt was changed...
Those wheels look good on clios, they are exactly the same as the ones i had on my ph1 172. The paint on the front was in perfect condition with no kerbing and i only got £165 for them :(
Yes cars do require maintence, most people realise that. I think what people are getting at is more unforseen costs and finding the money to get them sorted.
Cheers guys, the garage i went to told me they were going to replace the aux belt when when they did the cam belt, only they didn't, so was just curious how much it was going to cost me.
The shift light is to the left of the rev counter, its a green light in the the shape of a gear stick. As somebody said earlier it will come on briefly when you start the car up.
Hey guys,
I've had a quick search, but can't find any conclusive answers, how much is a full aux belt kit change including the tensioners? I wouldn't really be too bothered if it was a non genuine renault kit either if that brings the cost down.
Cheers
Cheers guys, i'm waiting for the stuff to come through from the garage now detailing exactly what they did, I'll then know if the idler was changed. I have a feeling just the aux belt was changed and not the idlers or tensioners.
If the idler was not replaced any idea how long and much it...
Well, my car makes an horrid whining noise when driven, i occurs at all revs, but the higher the revs the higher the whine. I had the cam and aux belt replaced today and the whine persists.
In these videos you're listening for the high pitched whine.
Idling - not really as noticable here...
I took my car in at 8am this morning for a cam and aux belt change, i just called a minute ago (5pm) to find out if it was done and was told they need it until tomorrow. How many hours, if done correctly, should it take?
Monzas! I have the same wheels and eventually will be going with a orange rim around mine. I've taken the centre caps off as well as i thought they clashed too much with black.
