It's weird though - a month or so ago Sony said 'we'll wait for MS to make the first move' then came out with the first (underwhelming) announcement - not really saying much apart from 'it's going to be awesome' and announcing some very average sounding sequels.
A new Killzone...wooh!!!
Yeah - new product announcements should be exciting and male you think 'I need this in my life now'. Tech specs are boring and Sony in particular shouldn't play to this after what they said the PS3 would be able to achieve (e.g. equal to or worse than 360 despite coming out much later)
I think Sony just wanted to get the news out before MS as they lost such a massive market share with the PS3 coming out relatively late into the cycle - but when the 360 came out there was a lot more excitement over the announcement.
Ultimately it's the games that matter but this wasn't very...
Stealth has little advantage in this game as far as I could see...would rather just bowl in and smash the hell out of them. The AI in this game is hardly that sophisticated.
Oh no, I loved the game up to a point...it's just disappointing when a game you're addicted to one moment suddenly becomes tedious and you have no desire to finish it, as I want to.
After me and my follower both had full daedric weapons and armour, and both had powerful destruction, conjuration and restoration powers it got too easy.
With full conjuration especially I never had to do any fighting myself in the end.
Agreed. Although the main failing for me of this game is lack of story and interesting characters. After many hours of gameplay you have a super powerful character but no interest in using them to drive the story narrative forward, as most likely you have forgotten what's happening and none of...
Agreed! DA was amazing with all the DLC, I didn't even finish DA2 (despite my best efforts!). With the 2 founders of Bioware leaving and them now 'consulting' fans what to include I really fear for any future output from the studio...yes ask fans during beta testing on improvements, but not the...
Surely the only real choices are iOs or Android, and in which case the iPad or Nexus?
The Kindle HD is inferior to the Nexus, although not a bad device.
Yes mate. I got that and Halo 4 and was looking forward to that more, but ended up spending an hour on that and about 5 on X-Com, then played it some more this morning.
Not played a game like it on the X-box. A next gen version with better even graphics and more armour customisation and it's...
Right, only got it yesterday but already X-Com is my joint favourite alongside Borderlands 2. Stayed up until 5am last night playing it, love the tactical side of it, love the combat.
Earlier today my team sniper, Cpl. Jean Grey, got taken out as we tried to storm-raid a crashed UFO. Was quite...
Weren't the terms changed to do with them being able to sell your photos? Call me naive but I can't really see much of a market for photos of teenagers getting pissed in a club, taken on a phone camera with added blur, saturation and contrast...0% concerned, media just tried to make us think we...
Yeah I love the arenas. Thinking about it I never completed the 5th round of the arena where you fight all the robots, that was really hard towards the end.
The guide I saw on how to kill the guy I am on was by a level 50 (I am mid 48 now) but pretty much every item he had was orange...none of mine at the moment are :( Need to work out how to get them.
Another thing this game needs is user defined setup slots...having to switch to all my corrosive...
Just completed the Torque campaign...was great fun but didn't get much decent loot. Now got a reincarnation of Pete though and he is literaly impossible, after about 5 minutes only taken down about 20% of his shield!?!?
Yeh I completed it first then started it again in TVH mode, but then went into the DLC. Think I was level 35 or so by the time I completed it first time around.
Also some potential good news for all those who enjoyed/are enjoying BL2 still...

Wish they would hurry up with the cap increase though as currently level 47.
The really, really rare ones. I have a shield and a corrosive grenade, but in Mr Torque's DLC you can buy them from his vending machines, although they are super expensive and haven't seen any which looks amazing (despite being orange).
Borderlands 2 for me - simply because of the all round polish, innovation and style of the game. Seriously addictive and great multiplayer - competitive yet you have to work as a team still. Plus the DLC has been awesome.
Mass Effect 3 was also excellent, really enjoyed it - yet the whole...
I've started to put my orange items (all 2 of them!!!!) in Claptrap's hiding place in Sanctuary for any new character I start. Can't believe I only have 2 though still, ridiculous!
Damage is still #1 priority but then you get all the 'bonus' features, e.g. extra critical damage, and I also think magazine size is very important too - e.g. double barrel shotguns might be powerful but if you have to reload after every shot they are pretty rubbish.
All the guns I am using at...
You want corrosive against the robots mate...electric is for shields rather than armour.
Once you complete the game and go into true vault hunter mode almost all the weapons are elemental and it becomes a lot more tactical switching between weapons.
Yeah cool that would be great! I am level 46 now, what about you have you made some ground? I have only played 2 hours Xbox in total the past 9 days :(
