Cool thanks for the advice, guys. I know Samsung is cheaper but personally find the look of their images not too my taste, almost looks too real in some cases (if that makes sense, probably a better technical term for it!)
I'm now thinking 4K might not be worth it, and can just go for a very...
Also, is 4K tv worth it? To me it seems less of a gimmick than 3D and should take-off, but given how long it's taken for HD to get going part of me says wait a while and maybe get a 4K next time around. It is an awful lot of money after all.
Hi guys. Moving into my new pad with my mrs and looking for the best value 4K TV and sound system.
I like this X series Sony model with the HTCT770 wireless soundbar and sub-woofer package, although I know probably paying a premium for it being a Sony.
I have done loads of looking about and...
I think the new Halo will be a Destiny style more open world experience, with more episodic content added as DLC throughout the next 2-3 years after launch.
That means continuing revenue but not having to launch and market a new game each year (like COD) and less teething problems (e.g...
Erm I dunno if it was a typo but I read this morning even 2015 is looking a stretch and 2016 more likely, as the game isn't playable at all currently - basically they have a concept and some nice graphic demos so far...
I liked Dark Crusade a lot more than the core game with the meta map and upgrading your commander, would love to see that sort of system brought back should they make another sequel.
Your commander got more powerful and you got veteran units for capturing territory, but they should have been...
I've just been playing through Dawn of War: Dark Crusade again. Great game! Would love an updated version with a few more units, better graphics and AI and possibly a new faction or 2.
I actually like the idea of modern futuristic warfare but think the whole FPS genre is about to implode in on itself.
Too much of a good thing can make even the greatest things turn sour - an Activision run the risk of totally running the franchise dry. A better model would be 1 release every 2...
Bit late to the party I know but would people recommend this over Horizons? Currently torn which one to buy - both about the same price but thought Horizons sounded a bit different to the norm
I don't mind that much - now I don't get time to play as much as I'd like so I tend to play one game for months on end until I'm bored/something else comes out I'm into. I probably only play 2-3 games 'properly' a year, and can be very varied. Last year it was X-Com and Dragon's Dogma...so far...
Yep, absolute beast. I have mine in spray urban camo and it looks monstrous too!
I like it with the coyote RDS, compensator and folding grip - works well with the 2x magnifier on some maps too if you want a bit more versatility.
Yep that looks good...worryingly few games coming out though this year which I'm excited about. Even the new Dragon Age game is coming out on 360, so still no incentive to upgrade to a new gen yet for me - which kind of sucks as I want to be excited for one!
I would love a new X-Com game to be...
Apparently the original game will be less than 1% of the game content available by this time next year, so if you think you'll like it definitely get the season pass!!!
So I got this on 360 and on the whole it's awesome. Here are some thoughts - I wrote this for Gamecentral so hopefully published later this week. Let me know if you agree or not:
"I bought Titanfall for the 360 and seriously impressed with how fluidly it runs, it's great fun and quite...
Dice you mean mate... :) The issue is EA obviously put pressure on them to have the game ready for the next gen launch but obviously wasn't ready. They probably assumed any bugs could be ironed out easily via patches but turns out its been tricky. Kind of shot themselves in the foot a bit...
Happens sometimes on the 360 too - think it's just the game crashing unfortunately if its the same thing. Seems to be happening less frequently for me now than it was though.
Operation Mortar I think? The one with cannons in the fort? If so yes that's my favourite too. Personally though I like the China Rising maps best - good mix of environments, don't really like the Second Assault maps that much although Metro is a laugh
I like a couple of the NS maps but only in conquest - don't think the carrier assault is well balanced (might be bigger in larger maps, but in 12 vs 12 there aren't enough people to defend and attack the open carriers at once)
The other weekend with premium XP event and a 200% XP boost I got...
Which version is that? It seems like it's the new gen with the most problems - not a great incentive to part with £400 for the pleasure.
The only next gen game which is appealing so far is Titanfall - and looks like the 360 version will be almost as good as the One version!
Yep the AWS is very good - great for close, medium and long range depending on the map and the attachments. I tried it with the heavy barrel but not sure how I feel about that as the recoil went up too high for my tastes when fitted with the 2x magnifier.
Got the AWS last night but not used it yet - did a few kamikaze deaths trying to blow tanks up with C4 as I wasn't being very patient so had a couple of shocking scores! Got there in the end though!
I didn't have any problems and actually less crashing than usual, bonus! I'd like to see a 'full' naval map though all taking place at sea with maybe one small island in the middle with capture points.
Anyone got the AWS yet? Seems quite easy to get, I'm going to try for it tonight. Assume you...
With the Titanfall pack you can get a One with a game for £389 now from Amazon - cheaper than a PS4! Crazy how the price structures have changed so dramatically already - quite tempted by this deal now!
Naval Strike maps are all OK, although not sure how well the carrier assault mode works...the end game in the carrier itself should be tense but in all the games I've had it's a confused little skirmish which is over in a couple of minutes - and certainly on the 360 and PS3 versions there...
On 360 I just go into the store and it's on there - so not sure why it's not on One.
I noticed the maps were on the server a while ago but couldn't select them.
Looking forward to this tonight! (assuming it works, which it wont)
Not got Naval Strike yet, I'll get it tonight.
Although having said that I am getting so tired with the increased number of crashes. Probably 1 in 3 games now it goes - totally ruins your enjoyment and have to restart my Xbox.
After it crashed last night I made the mistake of switching to Dark...
New Naval Strike maps look and sound cool - plus the new carrier assault mode already detailed

Have to say I am pleased I got premium, feel like I get quite a lot of stuff for it with the battlepacks, early map releases, XP...
