Just search on here for cambelt - thread after thread of "this mickey mouse garage did my cambelt, now its not running right/s**t itself".
People aren't saying this just to piss you off mate. They just don't want to see you spunk your time and money down the drain. I could just about trust...
The wood is no more! Finally got rid of it all, last addition was the handbrake cover:

In other news, its been a bit of a needy f**ker of late. It keeps whining that it needs coolant so the engine is either using it slowly or I've got a small leak.
The...
Haha, I get a lot of s**t for getting rid of the wood but I hate it! Has to go.
I'd love some vaders, but they are on the bottom of the list unfortunately. Very expensive and I have a million and one other things planned first.
Tackled more of the wood trim today. I got a replacement through eBay which turned out to have 2 holes from a previous fixture but at least the wood is gone.

Started the refurb on my spare today. I picked up some cheap alloys today so depending how the spare turns out, I may do all of them myself.
Here's where I got to -

Pretty certain that I'll do the centres myself no issue. I'd like to get the lips diamond cut...
Whiteley, replied to your PM.
This thing is still f'ing great fun. I have discovered wood trim under the tacky carbon wrap so that's next on the list to swap out. MOT has been and it passed after 2 front brake hoses. It overheated slightly (never went to red) the day before, this was due to a...
Went to Prept on Wednesday, first time ever been to a car meet - not sure if its something I'd do again but there was some really nice stuff on display. If anyone is interested the set is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pokeorchoke/sets/72157635282202456/
Here it is at Brands:

Yeah I knew the flange would need swapping - is setting the preload a ballache? That's why I want to find a cheap one as I'd ideally have it refurbed before it goes on.
Is that the guy on Ebay from Nottingham that sells them for £300+? I go to Derby a lot as my sister lives there but I can't pay that much for a diff with 100k on. One went down here (down saaarf) recently for £120. There is a huge BMW breaker the next town over from me but I keep forgetting to...
I didn't do it merely because I'm not crawling around underneath it with only 20 year old axle stands to hold it up.
Lucky I didn't as the garage said it was a complete f*cker.
Delay valve - http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/f2/clutch-delay-valve-cdv-e36-e46-e39-t95725/
Braided line (don't be put off that its for an M3 - same gearbox) -...
So today the rear coilovers have been raised, a creaking top mount sorted, front wheels balanced and the clutch delay valve removed with some HEL braided line.
The car drives so much better with the valve gone, gear changes are much smoother. I think it looks more purposeful with the rear...
Currently raising the rear and standard headlights have arrived. Gonna strip them down, clean up and re seal to try and stop the issues with clouding they all seem to have.

Seems they were stored in a shed for a while because of the filth

Haha, if you click the photos it will take you to the set on Flickr, quite a few more on there.
Some helmet has nicked the O/S dust caps. They were shiny metal BMW jobbies. Not sure what to make of that yet, as I couldn't decide if I liked them or not.
^^^Only just seen this, don't tempt me. Yours is a cracker.
Not much happening at the moment. MOT is looming so holding cash back in case anything needs addressing. I have changed the oil and plugs, it is running spot on. I have a piece of braided clutch line ready to delete the clutch delay...
