i'm down as 15k but probably do closer to 20. problem is some insurers dont wanna know if u get above 20-25k :dapprove: which makes no sense to me, as surely the more driving experience you have the less likely you are to have an accident...?
mine arrived today :D they're fab!
little awkward to fit but not too bad really. washed the windscreen before wiping them and they're so quiet! now to see what happens when i get a few bug splats
got email confirmation, so hopefully they'll arrive in the next couple of days... and my free blue sidelight bulbs! lol
hope they wont squeak :S when i jet-washed the car recently i noticed the water ran off the windscreen a bit TOO readily.. methinks its been coated with rain-wizard or...
but if my insurer finds out it sounds like they will invalidate my policy regardless!!
another qu.. does "infield" parking mean parking inside the track area??
i'm getting 2 fitted later this week... thing is i'm now wishing i'd ordered 4 cos the other two are pretty well worn... handling will take a nosedive with this sort of combo wont it!?
hehe dont worry! for this kind of dilemma there are plenty of "experts" on here!!! :argue:
personally, i got ff cos i likes my luxuries, and i dont want to always be driving on the edge of my seat :o
apparently, you do! according to diamond anyway. i even told them it wasnt a race, timed, etc but they're being miserable c***s about it
or does that mean i can go on track, but my policy wont pay out if anything happens? in that case nobody hit me please!!! lol
arse. no parade for me then. i've asked but insurance wont cover it! :(
presumably even parking inside the track will be a problem. so i guess i'm slumming it with the goobers! oh well, at least i can leave before the end of the day if i want...
the "926" pair arent the retrofit/universal ones tho, i think they have the fancy connector on them. if u do a vehicle search for the clio the pair doesnt come up, u have to order 2 @ £14 (which most ppl will probably do anyway as its much cheaper!!)
altho i've not had a confirmation email yet...
could be a poor seal if the wheel has buckled, in which case they might not be able to fix it. but if the wheel is fine then they should be able to sort it. has it deflated completely then? i've had puncture repairs done on "flats" at least twice now and they were ok afterward, but those werent...
depends whats causing it? can u see a nail or anything in? if so, get it repaired, it'll cost u less than a tenner, which for the peace of mind is a bargain! :)
u can get away with it for a while but there's always a risk of having a total blow-out... and u really dont want that!! ;)
kind of miffed we tried to use this the other day and it didnt work, for the above reasons! is it not possible to replace the windscreen with one that doesnt have the weird layer in it? mines slightly chipped just now and i'm looking for an excuse to replace it ;)
thats a good point actually. there must be a reason that the market is so flooded right now! its ridiculous! i've never seen so many on the go at one time, and i was looking for about a year (on & off) !
