s**t man that looks worse than mine did! how much did it set u back to replace the radiator? altho if i can get away with not doing it then i probably wont bother... donate the money to badger trust instead!!
the police? seriously? what are you basing that on? i know u have to report hitting a dog but not a cat... but badgers? i dont think they have the time really, too busy organising drug busts etc according to their website. if i'd known they gave a damn I would have dialled 999 at the scene. but...
cheers dude i might well take u up on that! gonna try and get some pics of the damage in a bit.
mods move this to general if u want, but i am asking a mechanical question!! i didnt ask for all the guilt-trip bullshit that ppl have posted tho :dapprove:
re: whether its "illegal" to kill...
i'm usually quite good at spotting them, but this one just pottered out in front of me as i rounded a bend in the road... nothing i could do :( it wasnt far from my house either so i've had to drive past the "body" twice already :dead: guilt!!!
and apart from cracking my bumper and mashing my lower grille, my radiator is a bit bent and a silver pipe that sticks down beside the fog light... no coolant leaks tho so am i ok to keep running?
and yes, the poor beast died  feel awful, it was so cute :(
in fairness to the drains, they probably havent been upgraded for well over 100 years, during which time increasing land surface area has been tarred/concreted over so that natural drainage is virtually non-existant. hence flooding in built-up areas is much more common these days.
p.s...
thats cool. i ran gsd2's on my rover and was pretty happy with them. and the car currently has different tyres front to back which isnt ideal but at least the goodyears will have similar tread patterns!
rather stupidly ordered 2 x gsd2's (ages ago!) to test out a new fitting station. their equipment still hasnt been fitted yet so whilst i'm waiting i've decided to get the other two tyres on the way...
but! went back to mytyres and the gsd2's are now £10 dearer and have a 2 week delivery time...
nah there was no spaces left when i arrived lol! parked round the corner. its always rammed on a monday nite... i might have to start going in the morning instead :S
haha nice one :D it must be cos my car is so ordinary looking lol ;)
btw dude u left ur card on the windowsill - i handed it to the front desk so u can collect when ur next in :)
yes but they are a little awkward initially cos of the spoiler bit sticking up too close to the clip. bit of woggling required. u have to order 2 @£14 each so yeah £28 total :)
cool, cheers for that. i probably need to pull them further to click but i'm scared to tug too much in case something breaks (innuendo not intended lol) :o
ok thoroughly tested these today on a run out to swansea (it was pissing down this morning!) they cleared the screen well but i noticed when i arrived at my destination that the clips are slipping out of the wiper arm :dapprove: perhaps not so universal after all! because of the built in spoiler...
indeed i did, and indeed they do! they measure up pretty closely with the old valeo ones, in fact they might even be a few mm longer!
also did a good turn recycling one of the valeo's onto the back wiper... saved myself 8 quid there so total cost £20 ;)
well screw them then eh :rasp:
tbh i think its more at risk of being nicked/broken into from the spectators car park than the infield, but never mind!! i did try to explain that parking would be "in" the track rather than "on" it
i dare say i am worrying about nothing, just its...
