my centre section weld cracked twice, apparently because one end was a flat weld instead of a cone - charlie said it was one of the "monkeys" that did it and that he'd since been dismissed... so far i've not had any more problems but if i do i'll be straight over that bridge ;)

as has been said u do need to rag it around 4k to feel like it's shifting, below that i generally find it's quite sluggish and more of a gradual increase. i've had mine for a couple of years now and it still catches me out sometimes :eek:

could some kind sir or madam put this grille onto a monaco bleu 172 pls?
i want some idea of how bad it's going to look against the std top grille and in general...
a side-by-side "spot the difference" style montage would be ideal :cool:

anyway i would only put the bottom grill on, but i worry it's going to jar too much with the existing grill above :(

i seek a bottom grill which has a smaller mesh than standard so that stones can't chip my AC condensor (again)

wow, i've been quoted £390 plus vat to replace mine (again!) :eek: obviously i'm looking for a cheaper solution, but unless it can be done for around the £200 mark i'm not gonna bother.

for insurance i valued my 02 plate around 4k with 80k miles, not that it made any difference to the premium of course!
i've only had the car for 2 years, and put 60k miles on it. I paid 6.5k.
you do the math ;)
