as far as i know yeh... he didnt say anything someone on the rx7 club spotted him on fire on the side of the road... then it all got taken off and hushed up....
had work done on it... then on his way home... it set on fire lol! massive fuel leak or something... which is what was done during the work... afaik anyway
project pheonix!! its on the boat atm and should be here in 6 weeks! i would love to do it the way he has but its a bit of a s**t the way it all came about...
im not sure about height... its pretty low as it is tbh, if i go much lower im worried the rad will get hit.... will see what its like... will get some spacers before i adjust the height, plus it was corner weighted but that wont make much odds now as i have loads of stuff in random places now lol!
POW!
and 1 front done...
i got one rim to finish polishing, 2 sets of bolts need to be polished, i also need to buy 2 new bolts aswell, as i was retarded and snapped them both :(
holy s**t you could put 40mm spacers on the rear lol!
when i saw your first pic... i thought i had jinxed you lol!
you prob wont notice it because you did it all at once, but when i did collars i i got pissed because made my seat feel like it was at an angle lol! got used to it though :)...
i know of a 14 and a 14a that did it lol!
gaz the collars are good but tbh you would benifit more of pulling the old bushes out and either poly bushing or solid bushing... if like you said your gonna strip underneath over the winter would recomend it then...
go careful with the collars... the bolts you undo on the subframe to body that go through the standard bushes... its a welded in captive nut, and have been known to snap the welds resulting in a loose bolt just spinning! you then have to cut a hole to weld it back in... no other way to do it...
mate 100% respect to you for not going with nasty cheap shitty coilovers! the hsd's are amazing you will love them! and the alignment arms are sexual trust me!
got the centres back :D
its sooo hard to get a photo of them, deeeeeeeeeeeep purple with glitter and a pearl on it, goes from like a black, to gold to green to stupidly bright purple.... overly happy :D
there isnt much that is lol! i ripped the rear arch off of one of mine... well a bus shelter did lol... back end there is very little holding it together.
winston, that polish and sealer.... you recommend it?? im just in the process of finishing my rims and want a good polish and sealant for them... how much and where from??
the older guy with the shirt off talking is an actor lol!!! he is in the new film machete.... hence the logo at the end... and hence the "danny trejo" in the title.... pretty sure he was in cheech and chong... if you not seen the trailer for it... trust me you will wanna watch the film!
shall give it a go jon!
they are 9's rear and 8.5's front.... these tyres wont last long, mapping will prob kill them off, and as its now been made a pure weekend/fun car when they are dead r888's will be going on.
i honestly cant wait to get the centres back! the finish is AMAZING! seen a couple american cars in the JDM scene with similar.... i havent really seen anyone in the uk with the same effect :)
rears will be quicker and easier there is no hand sanding or polishing to do as i can get my mops in all the areas i need too :) centres were dropped off today guy is gonna get them done this week for me.... need to decide what size rubber im gonna run.... *sigh*
second rim is done....
this shows what the surface is like before i go near it... see all the corrosion and nastyness... these have been hit and left to soak for a while with wonderwheels.... so thats how strong the corrosion is!
that isnt curbing its more corrosion
finished by...
