When your looking at a motor at auction thats the position to start from. Plenty of decent motors go through along with the dodgy ones!

Auctions offer a good way to buy, but you have to be pretty clued up!

Think £500 is about right. Angelworks are doing the cambelt change (not sure if this includes the auxbelt) for £330 iirc

Back on Contis on the FST and I just dont like the way they give up grip. they seem to slip quite easily. Also poor tyre life and they squel realtively easy. PE2s are significantly better in my experience.

Sounds exactly like most of renault expierences. Except they usually damaged it at the same time.
