I thought exactly the same. Under boost wouldnt the turbo just suck that pipe in, ie; crush in on it self.
What have they clamped it to? That caf pipe couldnt take any compression from those jubilee clips.
Also look out for minor things that are pricey. The tyres these came with are Michelin Pilot Exalto 2's. Around £80 quid a corner, alot of people replace with budget tyres and this really s***s on the handling capabilitys.
Cup splitter at front is over £100 for a new one from renault and...
Same was with my 182. I got it for £9800 7 months old from main dealer, admittedly it was up for £10995.
Although I see what the fuss is about of the 197, i just love the 182. It surprises so much bigger machinery and doesnt look like it can trouble them.
197 imo, looks the part but...
I agree, I know my FF 182 isnt a trophy, but all you need to do is go for a blast and you fall in love with it all over again. Its nice that there are so many RS variants imo as each as its own characteristics and you dont get bored with seeing same looking versions all the time.
NOt jealous at all mate. Got offered one breand new for 12k when I was about to buy my 182. TBH I wanted the c/c and xenons etc. A second round renaults test track would have meant fcuk all in the kind of driving that I do, ie urban roadage with the odd motorway blast.
It was just me...
