with a bolt tho would it not be a minute change if any as your not moving the strut like you would with an adjustabe top mount??
Edit: im wrong sorry. iv just googled some images of clio front suspension and i didnt realise the steering rack is connected to hub. i thought it was connected to...
yes usually the top bolt is replaced for a camber bolt.tracking is different to camber setup and a regular tyre shop wont be very helpful with camber setup.in my experience they are not that good at setting tracking either. setting camber with a bolt shouldnt alter your tracking whereas...
Simple. Only the lobe is the size of the standard bolt the rest of the bolt is smaller and the reason he washer has the inner tab takes up that free movement and compensates for the size difference. Even if you torque it up enough to not move under he forces of cornering then how are you in...
Do NOT bin washer. The inner tab on washer is critical to how they work.without it you will not achieve the full amount of camber and the bolt will move around in the hole. To set them properly the little tab that faces inward must be in exactly the opposite direction to the cam lobe. I would...
i have bc coilovers on my focus and think they are great. i soften up the shocks for travelling to and from track and at the track i go to my stiffer track settings. it doesnt handle as sweet on the road but it gives my bum a softer massage lol
doesnt mean they are quick. i can lap quicker than a lot of guys in the tin tops and iv looked at the qualifying times so being a amatuer racer means nothing about talent
what a load of rubbish. have you ever done a track day? you can chase lap times in a safe manner and just wait until the clear lap comes. i dont agree with anyone driving like a idiot on a track day but if you wanna go slow go find another hobby
the only way to truly know is if they tested back to back. but given the choice who would want 45kg extra. lol they hate it so it must have a killer effect.
true its very easy to get carried away though if your passionate about your hobby. im very guilty of this. but i think if i carry 25kg less fuel and i try and find every last bit of weight saving in the car and that tots up to an added 25 then im 50kg lighter and even average me can feel that...
so in theory you could have been 25 - 30 kg weight difference. maybe average joes like me and you wont notice but skilled drivers like the Btcc drivers would definately feel it and it would show in their lap times.
i would say fun on a track day means something different to all of us. some people are happy driving around a track at 50% of a cars capabilities and have a big smile on their face. other may like squeezing every last ounce out of their car on track and their talent. both are acceptible and both...
Does your model have spare wheel well? cut it out and replace with aluminium sheet.iv just done this to my focus. i fully understand your desire to reduce the weight as im just in the same mindset as you and going through this proccess to get my car to the lowest weight possible. some people...
pulling to one side means theres a rolling radius difference. check the sizes are the same. the profile may be different or diiferent makes of tire with a slightly different rolling radius. one wheel is travelling further per revolution than the other so the wheel pulls to one side to compensate.
240bhp makes sense. its the power that got you not the chassis. unless your 106 was bodied it would not fare so well against mine.
yes they are capable and are good fun cars if you really like them. take the engine away though and theres nothing special at all. the electric power steering is...
it cant be standard power then or it should have no chance.my brother has one track prepared and we have been trying to get it to handle better.its on tein coilovers. they suck when lowered unless you run buddy club ball joints to correct roll centre. so far we cant get it to lap as quick as my...
i flicked back through a few pages and seen you want an ep3? do some research on their handling for a track car before you buy one is my advice. they hate being lowered and are not the best chassis for a track car when you start upping the specs. even japanese tuneres struggle to make a good...
Great find that. iv been searching for something similar for my focus and i cant find anything like that. if it was honda civic you can buy extended ball joints by buddy club
