any idea how i get my subfolders to show when using the xbox one through dlna ? currently its only showing the main folders //edit no idea what i did but they are now showing, maybe it hadnt indexed the drive yet, no idea lol

quickly set the DS114 up last night, not had a lot of time to play with it, but im really happy with it so far, the desktop style interface is really good ive also managed to play a file from it on my phone via wifi elsewhere using the video app and then it plays through VLC, not something id...

well I used LP on my car a few months ago and put Zaino Z2 on it, so on my own car it will be getting more applications of Z2 the mrs' car isn't quite as well looked after as my own, though tbh mines far from perfect, I just think an all in one every month or so would be the best option on hers

hmmm Lime Prime might be an option as its really easy on and off, maybe in summer ill go down that route, but id really like a good all in one I can turn to when im short on time, ive got AG SRP already but its far too dusty, id like something that doesn't dust much tbh

Ive ordered 1 x 3TB for now, when im installing it do I need to do anything special as ill be adding another drive at some point, will the NAS be able to setup RAID if ive already got things on the first drive or will it have to wipe them off ?

It sounds like any of those options will suit my needs then, im inclined to get the 214SE so ive got the RAID option in future, just throw a 2TB drive in it for now

ok so im pretty sold on buying a Synology now ive read up on them, but I don't know whether to get a 1 bay DS115J with a 3TB drive, which would be around £175, or to stretch to the 214se 2 bay but only put one 2TB drive in it for now, which would be nearer £200 but give me the option of RAID in...

So, a 2TB Seagate drive, plus the Synology DS115 would be £155, what differences can I expect between that, and a 2TB Seagate Central which is £99.99

the DS115J seems to have good features but id need to buy my own drive, would I just plug it into my PC and format it, then stick it into the enclosure

it will purely be for storing/streaming media, mostly video files, mp4, avi, mkv etc, I don't want to spend anymore than £150
