Won the championship and clocked up my 8th straight victory at Austin last night, the Mclaren is a superb car on this game. Going to have to try manual gears but I think it'll be very hard on a controller.
Just won my 5th race in a row at Korea, after the race one of the messages said that I had won 10 races in the season but wouldnt be able to match Schumacher's 13 wins as there isn't enough races left, but there are 4 races left?! SUrely a glitch LOL.
I have found the difficulty settings good, pro level was too easy for me so im on legend and its far more realistic. As Nebraska says the McLaren is fast and I won the chamionship by a big margin in season 3 with them.
The Mrs got the S4 at the weekend, very impressive phone (both had iPhones for 3 years). Condisering getting one myself. It takes a while to get used to but is a far better phone than the iPhone 5.
Monaco is my worst track. As said before there is no grip on the track around the swimming pool. No matter what I try I spin!! Yet the AI can fly around there no problem.
Still on season 3 and just done Spa, still with McLaren and I left it too late in Q1 to get a good lap in and started 18th. I love this track on the game and the McLaren was awesome. I won the race by 30 seconds due to coming in for inters before the AI with 4 laps to go whilst they struggled on...
Signed up with Virgin last week for BB, booked in for 09/05/13. Got a call today to say they cant do it as my new estate was missed off when the lines were installed :( - got to choose someone else now.
I used to love F1 championship edition, getting heat in the tyres etc on warm up lap was great and built up the tension/excitement for the race. They also had trials and tests for drivers seats and test seats which was awesome. I cant see CM including any of this considering you cant even do P1...
I agree with you, I had a great race at silverstone last night, starting 18th with very poor quali and managed to get on the poduim. I did some great overtakes and would have been good to see it from other cars perspective.
Malaysia is another iffy track and the Ai are always quicker. You will always get a better start then the AI as they are too slow in the corners until the end of the first lap. The AI tyres never seem to wear, and ours wear easy. So you tend to get them queuing behind.
I think pro is too easy on most tracks, only Silverstone I really struggle at. In the McLaren on pro I am winning the championship and had pole at every track except China. They increased the AI difficulty on pro with the patches after people complained it was too easy.
Yeah penalties are awful in the game, you can drive round a corner going about your business and get the AI on your inside and you get a penalty for them hitting you. As said you can do what you like when defending. I always struggle at Silverstone, and the last corners in S2 at spa. But again...
Yeah Singapore is awful for tyre wear. I will say its not unplayable but considering Codemasters have had 3 years to get things right they should be doing better than this.
I've nearly given up playing this altogether, weather dynamics are awful, always raining on race day. Penalties are laughable and the frame rate issues are a joke. I will not be buying the next one until proper peoples reviews come out.
