I'd recommend the set up BUT not at that price! (starter post)
Forget the sports cat and look to pay a maximum of 300 - 350 all done and fitted.
Can highly recommend it. Works well with other mods, cams and usualy bolt on's (with other mods mine recorded 175lbft RS Tunings RR) plus as...
Mmmm not sure you'll get many agreeing with you there?. Their pretty quiet from what iv heard tbh, probably one of the most quietest 2.5 systems on the market maybe?
If folk want to reduce noice fit a silenced decat. All the advantages but kills some of the noise.
*If your mate has a...
Would the reading not be effected by how the cars buring its fuel, the fueling set up?
EG: if the car is running a bit lean the reading will be closer to a catted car, a bit rich and its going to be more off the mark?
I was took a spin in the AWT/RS Tuning's one when it was 270 odd and geeeezzzzzz words cant describe how quick it picks up in every gear!!
Its like a 1st gear type of pull but in everygear all the way up to crazy speeds.
Its insane!!
Needs vids of it in action ;)
That area is designed for movement and to flex hence the gap. Your not meant to seal it. If you do you run the risk of ''packing it out'' and making the fit as a whole 10 times worse.
As long as its not physically blowing its fine.
I havent no but comparing it to a 172 one which usually retail from Powerflow at 230 ish ball park figure, at 400 plus for a 182 one thats surely very close to a proper aftermarket??
Certainly very expensive sounding for Powerflow imo
Thats actually true, he cant lol but he's had countless attempts on various days, him driving and his best mate and no matter how hard they try it will not dip mid 13's!!
The Jackson supercharged one was running NOS who my mate took on and that was even slower! Sure theres a Youtube vid of...
I'll second this.
My mate spent in the region of 10k on a one off Rotex job running 400 bhp on a CTR
He went up against a Rotex'd NOS'd type R and both (after repeated runs) couldnt dip below mid 13's ! My mates is running a LSD too !!
They are quick dont get me wrong but not that quick...
Re: PH1 172 Track Car, abit special *ITB update*
Great read
You sure the 2118's are magnisium though? Always thought the mag versions had the ''Speedline'' logo embossed - If they arnt ditch cos the things weigh a ton ;)
Majority of modern cars carry a can of foam rather than a spare. Unless you have a blow out its all you need.
I mean, on a peeing down night stuck on the M6 in the dark, would you really want to be stuck on the hard shoulder jacking a car up with 44 tonne wagons flying inches past you or a 2...
LOL @ some of the replys.
''Take him up on his offer'' - No offence but if GDi, RS Tuning, Angle works etc etc cant get anywhere near 200bhp with a remap, how can some guy from the North East do it???????
That then leads to the question what is he exactly doing ? Do you really want to...
If by chavy your meaning noisy, then the Yozza race system would be a bad idea for you lol
Rasp is mainly due to a decat. Fit a silenced one or stick with the stock cat and its not really a issue.
You'll be lucky to gain anything performance wise swaping like for like 2.5'' bore
Check the cam and auxiliary belts have been done according to the miles and age. Expensive job if you have to do it and even more expensive if they fail.
Check the state of the rear discs. Nippy job if they need doing (200 ish including pads)
Condition of the clutch, again quite expensive...
