I mean on the standard cast set up tho. In the early days it was banded about that all you needed was cams, inlet, IK, zorst, decat and a map would get you 200 bhp. Some companys even promoted it! Truth is different ;)

Can any old cowboy crack a Clio Sports map? Took the tuners a while to tap into untill recently (last 3 or so years) or are they buying them pre done? Just with the amount of random nobody companys offering this kind of service 200bhp tho lol

They use those clamps on JCB hoses and other excavators ;) If he hasnt got the 182 sleve adaptor then possibly a trip to Renault is in order as you'll struggle from a motor factors. If he has the sleve them just insert a new bolt if required, job done :)

Thats still nearly 200kg's heavier than stock quoted figures surely?

Not sure but certainly nothing to worry about as it hangs over the back of the engine so dosent effect any running or set up

Guessing with you asking this question your going to be paying someone to fit it on top of that price? If this is the case, dont bother, sell yours and buy a 172. As already stated they start from 1500 notes for the complete car! By the time youve bought the engine, got someone to fit it...

Just use your old bolts. Im guessing your going to be changing back once its passed its MOT ;) End of the day you just want the cat to sit pretty for 40 mins, nothing fancy needed.

Thats about right. Renault quoted 0-60 between 6.9 - 7.2 depending on model. If you have roughly 10 bhp over that then that 0-60 wont be far out at all 1355kg's tho... .geeezzz whats going on there :quiet:

Fubar raised a good point, imports / car Supermarket ones. That could be a whole different ball game where spec in relation to the cars year is concerned or spec in general. Just over 1300 phase 1's officially passed through Renault dealers so guessing that a good 50% on the road today...

Thats just the boot ventilation. If Renault could run heater pipes all the way from the front up to here then it would be a miracle let alone possible haha The vents are down the seat runners near the handbrake area

If you want to register a genuine 200bhp you really have to go down the TB, Turbo or Supercharger route. Cams and the usual bolt on's on a single TB set up is just a expensive struggle if your target is 200 bhp. 190 at the very very max is about as realistic as its gonna get - on the road...

From my experience i think the worst thing you can do with a Sport Clio is get hung up on wanting a particular end result figure.

Cold weather might effect mpg but A, its hardly that cold (plus degree during the day) and B, its not going to effect it to the point of a 20 odd mpg level lol Id be looking in the direction of a failing lambdar sensor if the mpg is seriously bad

Heat shield could have dropped. Could be hitting off the rear beam.

Cheaper by £6 than buying it from a motor factors. But Wouldnt trust Kwikfit with a pedal car so tbh £6 extra better spent.........?

Im in the same kind of boat. Changed back to standard from 2118's. Car drives far better. 2118's look awsome but the weight is a killer

Fail to see the problem here. No one held a gun to your head to accept the new pads. Renault like to replace things that are ''wearing out'' not worn out. They pointed this out to you and you agreed to the work. Thats your bad not theres. Did they charge you for the diagnostic check?

You cant add each mods potential BHP gain and come up with a added together figure lol Its dosent work like that mate :o lol
