Just seen your post in the For Sale section about them mate. I had a feeling that guy was a bit of a plank after I disagreed with him about how to prep something in a bodywork thread. After saying I work in a bodyshop his attitude was "Yeah and we all know bodyshops bump people". Plonker.
The fastcar test stickied at the top of this section, read that. The Simota is essentially just an open filter stuck right behind the radiator, common sense says it's not good.
It is worth the tenner. Their are people on here who very helpful, the wealth of knowledge is huge, has saved me hundreds with learning how to do jobs to the car myself. You learn to filter out the few Knobends who frequent the site, every forum has them.
The main thing to look out for is...
Ah, mytyres and Camskill only seem to do either 80 or 84 XL.
EDIT: It's because I was looking at 195s. I assume I'd need to go for the 84 if I was going for 195s?
While we're on the subject of PE2s, what exactly does the Extra Load part refer to? I assume Clios can do without the XL version of the tyres as long as they are the correct speed rating?
Sorry for the little hijack:o
Park it in front of a wall, lights on. Open bonnet, look down the back of the light you'll see a white allen key nut sitting on top of the adjuster. Stick an allen key in it and turn it clockwise and anti-clockwise and you'll see the beam slowly move up and down on the wall. Figure out which way...
Just make sure you don't do what I did and start the car on a ramp with the windows up and doors shut, wheels spinning made the car think it was doing more than 5mph and it locked itself with the keys inside it LOL schoolboy error.
1st car was on finance, 2nd was bought using a loan. Both monthly payments were/are very little though. All mods are saved for and bought outright.
Insurance is also saved and payed for outright, even my ridiculous 172 premium that has now dropped by £500 3 months after I bought it :(
Try giving it a good dunt on the top/back of the display btw, my old 1.2 did this, bulb must have been loose everytime I gave it a little hit it would come back on.
