Firstly spotted the lovely couple as I was coming into Chelmsford as you was heading towards the bridge before the church. The rb197 looked lovely as always, standing out from the crowd :)
Spotted the (Monaco?) blue ph1 172 at the back of Chelmsford tescos car park. I was having a good look at...
Good progect phil. Just read the thread and was a good read :)
Glad to see you got the wilwoods too. Awesome arent they? ;)
One of my fave pics is of yours where its siting in the garage showing the engine bay and tool box :)
Thats what i thought, but you'd have to be quite lucky to find an officer that would believe that.
It does fit the recess nicely and looks much better than standard, but i personally dont fancy taking the risk of getting stung on a fine.
Forgive my possible dumbness but if you get pulled over by the police and they spot your smaller plate its a possible fine, but if you keep your standard one in your boot in which you prove, would you not be admitting driving illegally, there for guaranteeing you a fine? (Genuine question)
Sounds good :)
I can't make it as I have a wedding to go to :( Shame as I could get someone else to decipher what my rear knocking noise is.
Plus I love ketchup drown burnt meat. FML :(
So what exactly is this unit shiz all about. I get the impression it's a place to have a meet with added extras of burnt food, few drinks, chin wag and working on the motors?
Mine doesn't seem to knock when coming off the throttle hard in early gears. I notice it mostly over bumpy back roads and shakey grounds.
I must admit I haven't had a look at my center exhaust mount. I havent changed it in the 20ish months of ownership. I'll check that out today. Would that...
I have developed a knocking noise coming from what sounds like the passenger rear. I'm unsure on what it could be but having a look on here it's looks like it could either be my coilivers or the exhaust.
I took pics of the exhaust to show how it sits with regards to the beam and body
Just...
Thanks :) I got mine second hand off a member on here when they was 1-2 months old a year ago. He was meant to send me the invoice but I never received it, so i guess I can't do the same thing you have with regards to the replacement.
I haven't got the funds to buy a new set of coilivers but...
Cool. Could I have 1st dibs on you selling either spring once you get the news ones?
As for the knocking I'm not sure what it is but if you've changed your spring and the knocking has gone then the finger does point at our more cimpressed spring.
Yeah it seems I've got quite a bit of clearance there. It didn't do it when I 1st put them on, only the last couple of months. And it only seems to do it in uneven roads or bumpy b-roads, not motorway roads.
Where do you get replacement springs from? Is it you Danny?
Mine are like these and that's I think is my knocking noise as I have home made solid exhaust mounts.
Sorry for the hijack, jim :o
Spotted you coming from sheering heading towards Harlow around 2ish. I thought it was my mate Tom so sorry if you was left confused by a random flasher lol.
Love that hard left followed by the little uphill "s" bend, I always have a little play there :)
Gutter to hear about your gearbox but at least you've got the knowledge and balls to DIY. Fair play.
Good news on the cams. Some nice results there. :)
My belts need doing next year and it would make sense if I wanted more power to get a set of 438s in there too. What was the cost of the...
'Tis a lovely looking car there my friend. I'm a sucker for the cup spoiler but having seeing Luke's ly 200 in the flesh, the gt spoiler looks very nice. I think it definitely needs something as it looks a bit unfinished.
Love the black/white combo :)
where did you get the plates from?
Saw you driving past the co-op heading towards roxwell way around 6ish tonight.
Car looked good, windows down and music up. It is an epic road they way you was heading!
