Yes the insurance company will pay out for it, but for the value of the cars worth (market), repairables benefit the insurance industry as it improves the value they get for the cars they write off.
Hence the reasons for catagorisations so that only suitable cars are repaired. BTW insurance...
At 6k it would be good VFM, with limited depreciation.
its the same when purchasing cars in general a bit of care is need.... What the CatD thing does do, is allow you to get into car that you may not otherwise have been able to afford, and the majority of people are none the wiser.
you need to extract your head from your own arse.... its a clio at the end of the day..... the "trophy effect" and the "limited talk of Im a celebrity" laughable.
btw, i have visited the site and also driven a trophy quite extensively.
yes, but it all centres around whether it is a write off or repaired, and that only takes the insurance companies willingness to repair a car, not a consistant level of damage.
Its one year today that my 182 was stolen.... still the remains have never been found....I can finally apply to get my plate back today whaooo
I still feel quite pissed about it, and would love to catch the theieving scum who took the keys from the house....
Strangely I quite...
what i would be wary off if its for yourself, is that i hasnt just had the wheels painted.
If your buying to sell not an issue. to give you some idea a dealer would probably give 7.5k for it.
tbh, i didnt both having the belt done...
my arguement was that I have had the service done at renault, with the book stamped, it is their repsonsibility to ensure that the service complies with renault regime....
You will struglle to get them to do it after the event and they are likely...
Take a 182:
Price new £14k... write of margin of 70%= £9800
1yr old (market value of 10k)
apply 7.5ks worth of damage to both cars??? which is worse?? The one year old one will be a write off and the one under 1yr old will be repaired....
people will be none the wiser about the...
You have to be careful, thats for sure, but then my mates has had light front, wing door, one shocker, subframe, and crease in one B pillar???? Listed... No, repaired by insurance company.
Would half of the people on here buy as they wouldnt know?... erm yeah for sure.
its the same as the others, just with aux belt and road test.
I paid £ 210+ £100 for aux belt. Need to check they are doing the aux belt as a lot dont quote for it and it is due.
its more to make sure the car going back on the road is the one that was damage. hence the "identitiy check". In the past people stole cars, then re identified them up as a write off... easy money.
The way i loook at it is that as long as you buy it at the right price it will only be depreciate at the same rate as normal ones. just you will have paid less and it will be worth less. As cars get older the difference in value between at CATD one and a normal one becomes smaller.
you need to buy wisely with CAT Ds. However, the one that was on ebay went for 8250 and that was a good while ago!!
btw, my mate bought his 55plate with 8k on for 10250 and that was unlisted etc.
