Ah, now mine was a lumpy/hesitating idle but mine turned out to be my breather pipe had fell onto the pulleys and worn through... Trip to the scrappy later and all fixed :D
When me and a friend did mine we just unbolted it off sprayed it with WD-40 and scrubbed like made with tooth brushes all over wiped it all down and stuck it back on... No problems :)
Muchos Gracias my friend much better so to have oil on the breather pipe is normal then? It's just condensed oil that's returned to its liquid form on the pipe?
Your car will sound ruff as arseholes and shake on idle you wont get full power and it will be stuttering.
Best way to check when the engine is running get some rubber handled pliers (just incase) and pull the HT lead off the CoilPack one by one (making sure you put the last one you took off...
What exactly is an oil breather pipe for why would you want air in with the oil? Might be a dumb question but hey thought I would ask... Mine seems to have oil coming from that pipe on mine? :/
Mines a 172 Rep but the PH1 - Was a rather fun project to put the bumpers on.. A lot of swearing was had! Had to make small brackets as well for the front bumper to bolt too under the central vent under the bonnet
