am i the only person who doesnt see the point in the d700 when the d3 isnt much more? both exactly the same sensors and focussing systems etc... but the d3 is alot faster... more fps and more robust?? hopefully purchasing a d3 for xmas :D keeping my d2x as a backup though :)

hang on... uv filters do certain things... they dont just sit there and look pretty and protect it... tbh if you drop a lense it probably will need to be re calibrated weather you think that it doesnt or not... u may drop a lens and take a shot and it will look fine, however there is probably...

that isnt a sequential box... its a hollinger dog box with an ikeya bolt on sequential shifter... its a fancy gear stick with a set of gears inside it that when u push forwards the cogs move in the shifter to move the selector fork in the box... its far from sequential... its a straight cut dog...

does your camera allow rear curtain sync flash? or rear fill flash? if so you could slow the shutter right down fire it of as a person is coming up the ramp, which will release the shutter and take in the background detail and then will flash just before the shutter closes, catching the person...
