I didnt say sony as a company were brilliant.. but there viao's are very good. I use a lot of them in my work... or rather I use a lot of brands of laptops in my work maybe 20-30 different laptops.. Viao's are the best.

If you can stretch your budget deffinatly buy a sony viao.. they rock !

Ye should be a good game.. hopefully as graphically good as GOW but with a longer storyline.

I pre-ordered mine about 3 months ago .. from play £550 delivered with 3 games.. dunno if I will get a PS3 now though .. got the 360 and wii so im spoiled for choice just now.

Thats s**t ! I kinda had the opposite experience.. was told when I pre-ordered that i might get one on launch then a week before was told I wasnt going to get one for launch but garaunteed before xmas. Then get two phone calls on the 8th to tell me that my wii is in and can I come and collect it !

^^ yep seen that a while back.. personally I think the sensor bar that comes with it does a better job and is less likely to burn your house down ;)

Renegade was the best C&C game, or rather it could have been if it wasnt for some annoying bugs and lag problems !

Agreed, Vice City was by far the best. I really enjoyed playing and completing that. San Andreas was still good, but not as much fun IMO.

Got to agree with that. TDU on the 360 is fantastic.. the graphics are very good and has good gameplay.

got both, just now the wii is more fun.. but we will see about its longevity. The graphics on the wii arent an issue with me, I knew it wouldnt have the latest n greatest when I bought it.. what it does have in bucket loads is gameplay.. something most 360 titles I have been playing have...

Oh my gawd.. just finished playing 4 hours of wii sports (i havent even unrapped zelda and red steel yet) and its so cool. Absolutly loving it.. more than my 360 to be honest.. but my arms arent half aching :( As mentioned above dont knock it till you have tried it.. its the future of gaming...

You want mplayer.. and use the mplayer plugin for firefox/Mozilla

if by media player you mean videos aswell then xine or vlc are very good. If your playing MP3's then ye amarok is quite good.. for a simple mp3 player you can use xmms.

your laptop keys will probably have the other functions written in blue.. if you do function plus a blue shift key (or something that looks like it) your keyboard will return to normal.

Its funny that even if you run linux servers you still need an anti-virus protection software.. not to protect the server but the windows machines that read the mail.. lol Best anti-virus protection = linux No viruses, no spam, no adware, no dialers no nufin.. ;)

Ive used both VGA and the standard component cable.. VGA won it for me, although to be fair there is very little difference.

I would stay clear of pc world.. It depends whats wrong with your HDD, if its the controler card you could by the same model HDD and swap controller cards.. or you can open up the hdd and swap out the platters.. but thats very technical and not something you should really think about doing.
