Problem solved! 20 amp fuse blown in bottom row of fuses in the UPC unit. I did not initially see that there were two rows of fuses as the bottom ones are covered by a black plastic flap to keep the weather out. Thanks to those who helped with this problem, Cheers Howard
Thanks for this, do you mean under the UPC circuit board itself (there are about 10 fuses visible from the top side)? Is it easy to extract the circuit board? Cheers
Hi, Wiring fixed. I am not with the car now however from memory the immobiliser light flashes when the car is locked, is permanently on when I try to start the car and the spanner sign on the dash also comes on. Thanks for any help.
The wires to the VVT solenoid on my 58 reg 197 have frayed causing a short circuit - I witnessed a big spark and the car stopped running. I have repaired the loom and now everything (lights etc) behaves as normal except the starter motor does not turn. I have checked all fuses in the fusebox...
