If its seized up its unlikely that just wacking some oil will start it again. Thi s happened to me on the M1,because of how hot it had got, the rods had melted the bearing, and one piston has near enough welded itself stuck

Its big, and its getting binned when the bodies go on :) Ive always wondered, can you just disconnect it and leave the pipe open at the rocker cover side?

Does it come down to cost you think? I know my piper cam, and pulley came in at around £300ish for both, that sold it for me really
