^^ exactly, you dont HAVE to disconnect it.. but good luck, airbags have been known to just go off for no reason (and it is a Renault remember ;) The airbags have a charge in them to set off the airbags even if the battery gets disconnected. Not much good if your in a crash and the battery...

You can get Climate control in the last of the Cups to be made.. not the oldest ones though, The Cup was alsa available in silver for a short period. A couple of peeps on here have silver cups with climate.

No, if he says it has ABS its either 1) he is lying 2) not a Cup 3) Aftermarket kit 4) Renault 172 ABS (fitted by himself/garage) The Cup never came with ABS as standard.

If you disconnect the battery a few hours before you start the job it should be sufficiently discharged to work around. Make sure you have your radio code handy though for when you re-attach the battery. Either that or turn the key to switch off the airbag and wait a few hours.

Its not happend to me yet.. (now on 20K miles) and yes its 4000rpm not 4000 miles.
