Check water level in expansion tank. Otherwise you might have a faulty interior temp sensor. Do the fans go right up to full or near full when you put it up to 26C
I tried a set of these chequer plate ones in the past.. tbh they were crap, my heel kept getting caught on the edges of the chequerplate and was to a point slightly dangerous so I wont be going for them again.
I want the Justmatz one so it retains the original style but I think they are...

Just get the K-Tec Kevlar ones or something for £25 a set, and no its not difficult, just need a caliper wind back tool or a DIY equivelant.
