I went for the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1/2" gun, I snapped a 1/2" drive long bar on my XC90 crank pulley but the gun pulled it off without much of a problem. Unbelievable torque. Only issue I had with it is accidentally leaving it on max ugga dugga when doing up an M12 suspension bolt and it snapped...
Oh, looks like I missed the inner arch repairs, so the above wont make much sense! This is what I discovered under the inner front arches, behind a fairly poor attempt at covering it with underseal lol
NS
Grinder action
Templated
Replacement cut
Welded in and primed
And the OS
Gravitex on the inner arches - repaired areas looking nice now. NS
OS
Painted up the topmount retainers, topmounts etc, reassembled with new bolts and bearings
And refitted, along with all the brake vents and stuff, then wheels. Ready to come off the jacks now, possibly...
New rear brakes, the rear discs looked dicey at the last MOT on the insides so been on the list to get done.
Not good at all
Brembo discs/bearings and Yellows refitted, fairly straight forward. Caliper wind back tools rock.
Shameless spam
I'm doing a 100km charity bike ride in June, for Alzheimers research UK. Its a work arranged event and my company will cash match the amount we raise (doubling it up). If you would like to sponsor my suffering, you can donate here:

Still absolutely loving this little tarmac terror. I hadnt done the brake fluid or gearbox oil since I bought it so... I did those.
Sucked the old fluid out of the reservoir with a home made syringe thing, needs to be thin to get right to the back
RBF 660 and an Eezibleed, no issues really...
Fog light rectified - pleasingly managed it without taking the bumper off.
Then up on stands for a brake fluid change, I put some Mobil RBF 660 in as recommended by the man himself @Brigsy
Weather was nice so worked outside. Lovely day, and the god of bleed nipples was kind. All six came...
I've seen this post/had this conversation many many times over the years, Renault 5 GT Turbo's, 21 Turbo's. Clio 16v and so on. It's part of the cycle when values are lowest. This attricion rate will eventually create scarcity and drive values back up again.
Thank you - yes I am delighted he is involved. He's never shown a lot of interest in car stuff until recently (and I never forced it on him) and he's been helping me service, change brakes and bits like that so this seemed like natural progression.
I have to say though... wouldnt an 11,000rpm...
Got him removing the carpet next
As previously mentioned - filthy pigs!
We bashed the loose stuff off, hoovered it, pressure washed it, then soaked it in hot water with a liquitab and vanish dissolved in it, then hit it with one of those drill brush things, then pressure washed the soap...
We were considering a new interior all together but I thought i'd just give it a shot taking the covers off and giving them a wash in the machine. 3 hour anti-stain wash with a liquitab and some vanish.
Would you believe it?
Good or what?!
Reassembled with zip ties instead of those horrig...
First off, yes I went through full hazmat biological decontamination after being in this thing.
Why would you do this to your car? The seats are supposed to be the same colour as the door cards.
Filthy pigs!
OK OK So the title is a little provocative but its actually a 2015 MK3 999cc 3 cylinder Twingo with the engine under the boot floor - I believe a shared platform with a Smart car?
I got this off copart for fairly cheap, its got a broken front bumper and needs a clutch. Its for my son, currently...
Decided to refit the brake cooling ducts and trim, this meant dealing with the rusty crap that was stuck in place
And also remaking the brackets which had done a fairly good job of disintigrating, I did triangulate the corners to reinforce, pics later when I paint them.
Refitted with...
Despite the entire handbrake system being new and the calipers rebuilt as you saw earlier in the thread, the handbrake wasnt working. I traced the issue to the OSR caliper, the lever was just moving and not binding the brake on. Tried to fiddle with it in place but ended up taking the whole...
New alternator arrived but was damaged so returned it - some thug had dropped it and bent one of the fins, and it was catching the housing. I could have bent it back but you dont know if its damaged the bearing/shaft.
With a few more wiggles of the spanners it drove out of the garage!
I...
Wow my last update was Jan 15th! I have been tinkering away a bit, but I did enjoy a rather splendid Ski holiday with my kids at the end of Jan - Andorra.
(This is my 16yo lad, not me, btw!)
Anyway, I was having a right old hassle with the copper tracks in the rear lights so I rewired them...
