Awesome news if this were to come true!
"Renault has been tipped for a return to top-level rallying, as the company scales down its involvement in Formula One.
The French giant is now involved in Grand Prix racing principally as an engine supplier, with the former Renault F1 team now known as...
Pete, that sensor needs a good clean!
Anyone who doesn't PP is not getting everything out of their photography they can, end of story! PP is the difference between a good image and a great one.
I'm also a recent convert to RAW. The CS4 RAW plug in is a fantastic bit of software which...
Hmmm, I've been having similar issues as detailed throughout this thread. First noticed it about two months back, very lumpy on idle and misfiring quite badly. I took it down to my local garage which is an ex Renault franchise where they cleaned the plugs and all was fine until earlier this...
Another one I quite liked from the same trip as above:
I wasn't 100% happy with the 'Brick' shot I posted, so I did a subtle re-edit which I'm pleased with:
Rhod
Thanks :D
Cheers mate, it's some form of 4x4 Beach Buggy hybrid thing from the British Cross Country Championship. Mega quick and very loud whatever it is, I think it has a supercharged V8 or something.
Thanks Andy. My previous set up was a Canon 40D; 17-40 f4L and a 70-200 f2.8L. I've now...
South Wales on the heritage coast between Cardiff and Bridgend. Have a search on Flickr, there's thousands of shots on there from the area.
Fantastic images btw Dan.
Cheers mate.
Thank you, and an interesting choice as a favourite.
Cheers, I really cannot explain the level of committment Loeb showed into that corner. It was absolutely amazing - he threw the car in a good 50 yards before the corner at approx 80-90mph and slid it all the way round as...
Thanks for the comments so far.
Around half of that set were with a Canon 40D; the other half and more recent shots were with a 7D. As for lenses, most were taken with a 70-200 f2.8L NON IS, which is THE lens for Rally photography IMO, and a couple were taken with a 17-40L, which I've now...
Possibly a bit self indulgent, but I thought I'd put together a selection of my favourite shots from last year. You may notice a slight bias towards the two WRC events I was lucky enough to shoot at, but I make no apologies for that!
These aren't in any particular order either.

To be honest I'd be going to Watchdog or something similar with this, the "Compensation Culture" has been getting alot of press recently so may be worth a shout as it's so obviously a frivolous case.
Hope it works out for you anyway.
That was Gilles Pannizzi in the 206 WRC at the famous hairpin on WRC Catalunya:
Love Block's videos and it's good to have him in the WRC for all the publicity he brings; but he's literally miles off the pace. Still likes to get it sideways when he can though:
Here's a selection of my shots to mark the end of an era in World Rallying. This was the last event before the change of regulations from 2L to 1.6L Turbo engines for next season, so the Focus and C4 WRCs are now a thing of the past!
I have to say this was probably the best event I've ever...
The way I do it in CS4 is as follows:
Resize the image to 1024 on longest side;
Select --> All
Select -->Modify --> Border
Specify the width of the border
Layer --> New Fill Layer --> Solid Colour --> Ok
Then specify the colour --> Job done.
Hope that helps.
One more from my waterfall explorations. Another one I'm pretty confident has never been photographed before:

How on earth can people dismiss Mini's chances just from looking at a picture? Ok, the car probably won't be on the pace of Ford & Citroen immediately, no manufacturer in the world would be; but the fact that Prodrive are developing the car means it won't be long before it's competitive IMHO...
Haha, well I've got cupboards full of Rugby trophies!
I've had the T for three years now, loved every second of it. Just noticed your from Bridgend, I work up there on the Industrial Estate behind Police HQ so may have seen you about. Always see 172/182s in Bridgend but they don't seem to be...
I had my renewal notice from Direct Line a few weeks ago which went up from £780 to just over £900, despite an extra year's NCB, never had an accident or points etc. Went back onto the Direct Line website as a 'new' customer and the quote came out at £730. Rang them up and explained that I'd got...
