I hate when you see edited plates out and about. Like a couple of guys on here... putting black screws in to make a letter look like another, or putting letters closer together. If I was a copper I'd pull you over in the blink of an eye. It ain't right.

That's terrible mate. I would be shitting myself, especially with my girlfriend in the car. You did the right thing by just leaving, but it's just unfortunate they went skitzo on your panels. Just try and forget about it now mate, just learn from it. All you can do.

You'd be mental to give your 172 away for 5k~. I'm 21 and still live at home, I'm currently training to start my career in January (providing the government sorts the NHS Trusts out round here) and I'm happy. I think you need to be in a financially stable position first to even think about...

Who needs ESP :P The green gear stick light is the optimum gear change signal. I've read that in the Clio brochure (I think).

Don't know if it's worth a bump, incase a mod wishes to retain it for the guide section? Afterall, this could happen if another car wipes your wing mirror clean off.

My advice would be to try and track down one with climate control. It's a great extra to have on the Cup. ;) You'll need to find a 53 plate one tho, don't think it was offered before then.

I've had mine for a few months now and I absolutely love it. I've had no problems whatsoever apart from my wing mirror falling off today, but I managed to fix that.. (see the thread. lol) The things I don't like about my Cup is the clutch is a bit 'creaky' and it's not as 'fluid' as it should...

Right guys, I've got good news. I've fixed it. And I'll tell you how... After the guy at the garage suggested that the metal part inside the mirror might be spring mounted, I decided to get the clamp on it when I got home. So here is where the spring is situated. It was rusty and quite stiff...
