Clio 172 128x55.4mm 7091.2²,

I've ran CL pads on a Clio and they used to pull your face off backwards, great pad. At night they threw off sparks and they made my silver paintwork orange lol. If I find a part number I will post it up here (y)
I did read that there a Volvo arb link which is the same fitment and around £12. Clio 172/182 rear coilovers would be a direct fit on yours @Twingo 1?? I've not looked at the 200 stuff. I plan to add a clamp on arb bracket or just weld one to the body so I can keep the coilovers i have rather...
So the wheels at the back are a touch too wide, they kiss the bumper on compression so ideally I need to run a different offset wheel. I could go for machining of the hubs but I think I will also have issues at the front when I get around to that. Different offset wheels would be a better...
Cheers (y) yep on the rear its now as wide as a 133, plus or minus abit depending on the wheels and offset. I need to get a few more bits for the front end stuff, hopefully it shouldn't take too long then the front will be too. All being well, I may have to mess with driveshafts again though...
Rears on in a fashion, well to be fair its a really simple swap, bolt on. It adds a lot of width though.... The old hubs and the new ones all bolt on from the rear which is nice compared to the 172 items that you need to remove the disc to get to the countersunk bolts (which for me always round...
I very much rate them as a road going coilover tbh especially for the price. Slightly soft on track but I'm lucky if I do 2 in a year. Im told, though it could be wrong that they are made by KW and are a different colour KW v1 🤷♂️
Managed to bag the rs133 front wishbones, hubs, driveshafts, arb and rack along with the rear disc/hub setup with a hope that I can make it all fit the GT. It was all dropped off and deal done in a trade for some work on the chaps RS133. Springs all round, removal of some stuck bolts and a fresh...
I wrote up a quick Twingo GT (Non RS, should work on any 259mm setup) 280mm front brake upgrade for those looking for a little more stopping power (y) I have ran this setup on my own car for 2 years now. Easy to do and doesn't break the bank...
Lacking in pictures but a small update. First off the hub was whipped off so a new bearing could be pressed in. The bearing was fine the issue I had was id damaged the reluctor ring when I had the shaft in and out a few times during the build. Its part of the bearing itself unlike the 172 which...
Small aesthetic touch to rear of the Twingo. Same as I did to my old R5 GT Turbos back in the day. European rear light cluster fitted so the reversing light is deleted. Cleans up the rear a touch. MOT requires it fitted and working on cars from September 2009, this car was on the road in July so...
Watch him for that ethos, spend the money where needed rather than for the sake of it. The unit is actually just down the road from me, Thomas he mentions alot welded up the tb for me on the Twingo. Genuinely nice bloke.
I made a little update video on the Twingo, its been pretty much 6 months on the road now and I've had a few messages asking for updates, hopefully this covers them and any other questions I've been sent (y)
I think you have nailed it there, I've owned a slapped together 172 turbo, after going over everything it was fine but when I first had it I had to fix or sort something every time I drove it! Its all in the quality of the build I think where most fall down. My latest is the Twingo (obviously...
Spotted a white Clio 200 on Ashchurch road in Tewkesbury at about 4 o'clock yesterday (13/10/21)
our eyes met across the road, we flashed each other..... :D
Not much else done recently, after the bumper I touched in a few little marks around the car, gave it a clean, light machining followed by a glaze and wax using poor boys products. Looks and feels nice in the flesh but the pics from my phone can never capture it or how metallic the paint is...
1.2tce responds well to a remap with bigger injectors. Injectors from a clio 172 are a direct fit, along with a remap at EFI parts will see a jump from 99bhp to near 130bhp with matching torque. Big fmic air filter and cat back exhaust will see up around 140-145bhp. near that you are maxing the...
Its been nearly 6 months since I've had my DIY F4RT converted Twingo on the road and fully working (y) I've had a few messages asking for updates on it via YouTube and other platforms so was going to slap together a Q&A vid. Is there anything you want to know or want me to include...
The back bumper on the twingo was starting to offend me, tbh I did rush the speed holes on it so I took a little time today to try and neaten it up. I'd also noted that yotah (check his vids on YouTube) had added some extra holes behind the wheels on his car. With the bumper off you could see...
