I had the ducts turn up so popped them into place, fit up really nicely to the stock fixings. There's also a £5 discount running using the code "adeyspec" if you fancy some yourself (y) plenty of cars catered for. https://www.duct3d.co.uk/
Just need to order up some ducting now and get that fitted.

Then today I took it for really good run out to caffeine and machine, now I've had it built for a while but today I really jelled with it. Managed to put some decent miles on it rather than just commute or pop to the shops. It really comes alive on the b roads, soaks up everything really well with the newer suspension settings and goes f**king well when prodded. Met up with @Big Steve - Raider which was really nice, good to catch up and saw plenty of Renaults. Unfortunately they had a big lambo meet going on in the afternoon so ushered us off at 12. Got a few pics but not as many as I had planned, was talking way too much to get around in the time we were there.

Not much to update here as when I use it its been great (y) Not had much time on my hands to make any more "gap" videos but they will come 😁 Other than all the usual diesel bmw and mercs that try and push you along in the fast lane its been pretty boring on that front. ( Actually I do have one where I saw him coming a mile off and gave him some gapplebees pie as he tried to under take me 😂)

As a bit of maintenance/upgrade maybe, I have swapped out the thermostat. Now there has been nothing wrong with mine, works perfectly fine as far as I can tell though on hard long pulls I can get into the high 90s (normally mid to high 80s) I've not seen over 98 yet but I am well aware I'm running a radiator smaller than standard for the engine in a cramped engine bay which gets quite toasty. I wanted to give it a little extra helping hand as when I get to a track day I'm sure it'll get hotter than that again. I've slapped in the Clio 197 75 degree thermostat to try and help with this in the future, the stock in there was an 89 degree item, stamped 01/05 so I'm sure its the original to the engine. A little bit of an old school way/band aid way of doing things but will hopefully help and hold up fine when I start kicking its head in some more.

Damn that looks good on F1's! How accurate are those cheap temperature guns?

This morning I have spent a little time collating dyno info for a range of Twingo's. The info was taken from RS Tuning and EFI Parts so pretty accurate vs some no name tuners. I find things like this interesting, you may not but thought id post it up here. On this is a f4rt, SC f4r, N/A f4r, k4m and D4ft, all tuned. The first pic is a little noisy due to the amount of plots on there so I stripped it down to one for Horsepower and another for Torque. Hope you like it

sorry 133 owners you ARE pretty much bottom of the pile

  Twingo 133 Cup,
So all evidence points to my Twingo being slow :(.
Is there any info on the cars that have been used to collect the info? Not on fb so couldn't see the one linked above.

So mine is there which is basically a megane engine with bolt ons, a 197 engine with rotrex supercharger, a 197 engine with exhaust, air filter, then an rs tuning mapped with exhaust and air filter 133, a 133 with a turbo conversion and my old gt engine. Think that's all of them.

Unfortunately the 133 engine mapped and with the usual bolts ons is the lowest on the outputs, it doesn't tell the whole story though, it's revs higher than some.

  Twingo 133 Cup,
I would be interested in the 2.0 n.a ones if there is and build threads on them.
I ain't going rallying anymore as it's turned into even more of a rich man's sport. At a bit of a loss what to actually do with it tbh.

I'd probably leave the 133 engine in there,as you've put some bits into it already. I'd focus on getting the car as light as possible to begin with. Cut off everything 😂

Ive not actually seen a build thread on one tbh, most have been built by a company called beanie sport. 3kish drive in drive out. That said it looks like an easy swap and shouldn't be too hard to do

It's already got just under 200kg out of it lol. I think I just need to sell it and let someone develop it.

The yellow 2.0 one is in a mag feature that I did have but can't find it now lol.

Managed to give the car a good thrashing at Curborough Sprint Course with the Renault Twingo Owners Club. Was a great well organised event which allowed me to give the Twingo its first aggressive shake down without committing to a full track day then finding issues 10 min in. Great selection of twingos there, from near stock GT's 3 wheeling the corners to full blown stripped track weapons with 2.0ltr and 2.0ltr supercharged engine swaps. I totally forgot to switch on my GoPro most of the time so only actually recorded 2 runs from the day. Still a good experience even in a road car (with an abs fault 🤦‍♂️)

Didn't get many action shots from the day, if I find any of the car ill post them up

Had a bit of a whoops with the Twingo. TBH The cars felt a little off since the track day but after a drive in a torrential downpour today I thought I'd give it a quick check. Initially it wasn't too bad until I jacked the car up... I think they were never done up tight enough and bouncing the kerbs a little at Curborough got them to slip. Nipped up for now just need to get everything aligned again 🤦🏻‍♂️

The back bumper on the twingo was starting to offend me, tbh I did rush the speed holes on it so I took a little time today to try and neaten it up. I'd also noted that yotah (check his vids on YouTube) had added some extra holes behind the wheels on his car. With the bumper off you could see why, 2 more areas where there was an air trap with witness marks from the road spray. So whilst it was off I added some relief there too.

Not much else done recently, after the bumper I touched in a few little marks around the car, gave it a clean, light machining followed by a glaze and wax using poor boys products. Looks and feels nice in the flesh but the pics from my phone can never capture it or how metallic the paint is. Beads up well with just the night time moisture. The colour is NNJ Rouge Dyna Red. I've actually never seen it on another Twingo, came on the Mk4 Clio and Mk3 Megane's though. Just past 56k now too 💪

I made a little update video on the Twingo, its been pretty much 6 months on the road now and I've had a few messages asking for updates, hopefully this covers them and any other questions I've been sent (y)

Small aesthetic touch to rear of the Twingo. Same as I did to my old R5 GT Turbos back in the day. European rear light cluster fitted so the reversing light is deleted. Cleans up the rear a touch. MOT requires it fitted and working on cars from September 2009, this car was on the road in July so gets away with it. Also hit the badge with some satin black paint to take the chrome off the rear.

Thanks for looking in (y)

Lacking in pictures but a small update. First off the hub was whipped off so a new bearing could be pressed in. The bearing was fine the issue I had was id damaged the reluctor ring when I had the shaft in and out a few times during the build. Its part of the bearing itself unlike the 172 which has an external ring on the driveshaft. So new one of those pressed in as a favour at the garage when taking the family wagon in for its MOT. Whilst it was all apart I slapped in some new pads. I run Peugeot callipers on my car and pad choice is limited (well not as supported as the 172) and pricey in some cases. So Ive gone with the review/advice of @DaveL485 and tried out some Yellowstuff pads (part number DP41375R) Years ago I wouldn't of touched these with someone else's stick but so say they have changed? that and unlike the £220+ quotes I was getting they came in at a shave under £90 for the set. We will see how they fair. Anyway all fitted up, a drive down the street saw the ABS light go out, just need to put some bedding in miles on the car (y)

Cheers for reading

I wrote up a quick Twingo GT (Non RS, should work on any 259mm setup) 280mm front brake upgrade for those looking for a little more stopping power (y) I have ran this setup on my own car for 2 years now. Easy to do and doesn't break the bank.

Managed to bag the rs133 front wishbones, hubs, driveshafts, arb and rack along with the rear disc/hub setup with a hope that I can make it all fit the GT. It was all dropped off and deal done in a trade for some work on the chaps RS133. Springs all round, removal of some stuck bolts and a fresh set of plugs thrown in (y)

The rear drums on mine are getting noisy on braking so assuming I'm out of shoe. Trying to convert the rear to disc will be the first part of it. Then hopefully the front afterwards. Hopefully it will fit and not cause the wheels to hit the arches..... I do run 20mm spacers all round currently so wont need to run them afterwards. I've ran the same wheels on an rs133 previously so shouldn't have too many problems as the RS body is only wider due to the add on arches on top of the standard Twingo body.

As a side note I have a 182 rear setup sat here too, check the difference and how the rs133 is wider than the 182. Measures up at 46mm wider each side!

Rears on in a fashion, well to be fair its a really simple swap, bolt on. It adds a lot of width though.... The old hubs and the new ones all bolt on from the rear which is nice compared to the 172 items that you need to remove the disc to get to the countersunk bolts (which for me always round off) I was lacking one handbrake cable and one abs sensor from the setup so they are on order. I did try using a 182 handbrake cable but it was too long and the abs sensor is a different fitment in the hub. Same on the main connector though which is nice. I've moved and reused the oem brake pipe to suit but I will replace it soon so it has the flexi in there. Not really tested it as I'm waiting for a Whiteline rear arb to turn up but ill give it a few miles and then re bleed the brakes, So far it feels fine on the blitz around the block (y)
