We have had the first failure on the twingo.
Some of you may have seen some silly antics on Instagram yesterday (@ adeyspec if you don't already follow), no biggy for the car but was nice to get out and beat on it a little, @jezer101 took it for a spin too, wheel spin anyway 😀. Normal when...
be nice to get out in it, family life means most of my driving about is just on the commute. We should have a little quiet local meet up some where soon. Coffee meet up somewhere would be good
Got in today for some suspension tweaks and tyres. Settled with -1.6 camber and a touch of toe out inline with the standard rs133 cup figures. Should be ok on the road with the odd track day if it ever goes on one. Its now on some Michelin pilot sport 3s, load better but its futile trying to...
bolt in a diesel box, plenty of longer ratios to choose from or if 5th is the only gear you have an issue with you can swap just that with the gearbox in place easy enough (y)
just checked mine, o ring under the sender to the tank. it looks like it goes on to start with by hand then goes tight for me. iv tapped it around will see if it still leaks on the next fill up
there is a tool to do it with but I'm convinced there's a way to line it up before starting to wind it on, just not found it yet. I tend to lube it up a little, then place the ring on whilst holding the sender down. Turn it the wrong way until it drops back onto the thread and then do it up.
I always have a problem with these, mine is leaking if I brim the tank on the Twingo. About once in the last 4 times I've done it has it properly sealed. Proper t**t of a job, hopefully someone pipes up here on the "correct" way to align and fit them.
After going mad to get this done I've not driven it since the start of the month.... 🤦♂️ kind of gone off the boil for it after cruising around in the Dope so much. I've booked in for 2 tyres and alignment next Monday through a mate for max discount. Just need to to double check the ride...
go to a reputable place, EFI Parts would be my recommendation, but yeah good map will give more all over its not just about peak numbers. 170 to 180bhp if your timing is correct. Get group N timing before getting mapped would be my choice.

The one built by Renault Germany, would of been cool if it made production.
No one mentioned old clios in this thread 🤷🏻♂️ and the clio wasn't even a spunk bubbles thought when this came out. Back when they were the correct wheel drive 😁
My neighbour runs his own Garage so did me a solid and let me come in and use his hydraulic press to build a shaft. Pushed off both the cups/tulips and reassembled the one I wanted in the correct orientation (GT Tulip on the DCI shaft and then the GT spider on the 172 outer shaft) I measured the...
Not looked yet, this is getting done on a spare set of inner shafts so I can do everything in one hit rather than have to keep returning to the job. Well thats the plan anyway
It does as measured above. Gt inner shaft and dci inner shaft are different lengths so I'll be using the gt cup on the dci shaft 👍🏻bearing carrier will still line up fine
