Na, drove it round the block this morning after putting my new shinny struts on, and the alarm is still the same. Supposed to have a specialist out today, but he never turned up the BumHole.
Not put the manifold on yet, but i have unwrapped it !

They only made 300 williams threes, (i recon) so they are the rarest, but the originals are the most sought after.
Does it only do it only when cold, and make a noise like something is catching when going from lock to lock ? After a few turns of the steering wheel its then fine ?
You can check yourself pal. Dont ring a mechy.
Put full lock (as if you were going around a right handed corner) and get your head behind the wheel. At the bottom few coils of the spring there will be two blobs of paint. Clean the spring first - might make it easer.

Probally got shabby and been taken off. There should be one either side on the rear wing. Just above the rub strib and one on the tailgate. You can get them from renault, but pricey @ £30.
Get a picture up of the car and ill have a look.

Things to check are - Leaky sunroof, Hard to do but (look for wet headlining, and water stains around the centre roof console) Rust (wheel arches, driverside rear is the worse, sills, petrol cap and tailgate) Front springs (run your hand around...
Bought mine - and havent stopped spending since, but youve got to give it the attention it deserves. Havent driven it since christmas due to a alarm fault - (what was yours 007, might help me?)

Eh, a Williams 3 is just as rare yours Rob. If not more so - as most Williams being scrapped/broken are 3s. Carnt be many left out of the 3-400 that came here !
They are all still williams - just not numbered like yours pal.
I wouldnt do it but hey - if he keeps the originals wheels ?
In this months TopGear magazine - they have said a quality Williams 3 go for around £7000.
