Yep, I could have chosen a Bosch or Halfords bulb (both 12v 1.2W 286) but the Halfords one looked better made. (Im a product designer, so I know these things)
Thanks guys for the info on how to remove the heater panel, I really need to sort a Haynes manual. Ebay here I come.

To say that its a 8 year old car - they carnt half rust.
Its 3 owner 69,000 miler. Bought it last saturday, and have done 500miles so far. It was the first one Id seen, had all the service history. Well pleased. I should have looked at some others but good genuine low milage 1s & 3s seam to go quick.

Has anyone ever had any problems with the backlights on the heater controls working intermittently? They sometimes come on when I’ve been over a bump. But the rest of the time they stay off. I think it could be a loose connection (but where).

Sorted it. Unclipped the passenger side and then worked a blade underneath the instrument pod till it became free.
For future information - The Halfords code for the oil instument pod bulbs are 12V 1.2W 286

Im currently trying to change a bulb which lights up the oil pressure gauge on my williams.
Ive removed the dash board top, and have managed to unclip the passenger side housing of the oil dials. But how the hell do you get into unclip the other side. Its well hidden.

Cheers, ive dropped them all down to 1.9bar and it seams better. Im still getting used to the car, only had it since the weekend.

Ive looked in the williams 3 handbook on tyre pressures for the standard 185/50/R15 tyres and it states that they should be @ 2.0bar. Can anyone help with there experiance of what is the best pressure when running on a 195/50/r15 profile ? Currently its up @ 2.0bar (is this right)...
