    CLIO 182 TROPHY - 1 OWNER - 9,904 MILES

Sad to see such a cracking little car that’s never been driven.

    Old Games Collections.

HL:2 20th anniversary documentary, really interesting The other thing that HL:2 did was usher in the Steam era, so it’s not only a legendary game it was also pivotal in changing the whole distribution model. Ah, the days when you pretty much had to buy a new GPU for the new hotness 😂

So much this 😂 Used to play it multiplayer over a null modem cable when it came out. Happy times.

    Old Games Collections.

It’s reeeeely dated now, so many of the mechanics we take for granted only came in with C&C 2. I enjoyed it for the memories but didn’t spend that long with it. Red Alert is where my heart really is!

    New, Fully Electric Renault 5

‘cos it’s the base paint choice and they reckon people with the top spec don’t want it confused with the lower spec. It’ll be some dogshit like that.

    New, Fully Electric Renault 5

These will fly out of the showroom I reckon. Well priced, decent spec, funky looks but not off the wall, they’ll be everywhere. Makes the new mini look like a massively overpriced choice.

The 'I work in I.T' thread

Yeah, I don’t think they care. The company that now owns us also owns the company that the jobs are being offshored to…… ‘tis a cunning wheeze. I will probably be ok for a while because I’ve got mad skillz in our product, but the next few years are going to be rocky. I want to pack it all in...

The 'I work in I.T' thread

I‘ve never seen “t**t” spelled that way before ;) I’m officially a homeworker in my contract, I’m holding on to this job until they fire me, so probably another year, two years tops the way the offshoring is going.

    2003 Clio Billabong 1.2 16v

Bloody hell. I bet it didn't look that clean the day it left the factory.

    2003 Clio Billabong 1.2 16v

Nice to see this. We had one of these as my wife’s car for years. Cracking little thing, good fun to chuck about and tough as old boots.

Mouse Recommendations (for Gaming + Productivity)

A bit late, but personally I swear by the MX Master because it’s just so frikking comfortable. For productivity work it is incredible and although obviously not a “gaming mouse” I’ve no complaints on that front, but then I don’t play competitive online shooters……...

    Satellite or 4G Broadband

We’re waiting for gigaclear full fibre to be connected for us. Most of the rest of the town got it well over a year ago but it’s yet to be sorted for the rest, was kinda frustrating but TBH since we’ve had this 4G setup I don’t think we honestly need any more.

    Satellite or 4G Broadband

Absolutely do this. It’s all about the network. We don’t have 5G here, “just” 4G but here’s a speedtest That’s on EE but other networks here are dogshit. You need to try them to find the right one. We‘ve been using 4G as our internet for over a year now and can’t fault it. 4K streaming...

The 'I work in I.T' thread

I’ve got no problem at all with offshoring done well, it’s logical as long as it’s done right. This isn’t that. It is REALLY hard to do it right and it takes time and money. Can’t imagine why it goes wrong so often 😂 We actually put forward a plan three years ago to start building out an...

The 'I work in I.T' thread

First round of offshoring has happened following our recent buyout. Most of the devs have been put at risk, although we still don’t know exactly how many are going. CEO is chirpily posting on LinkedIn about their recent visit to India to meet our incredible team out there and extending our...

The VW Audi Skoda Seat Thread

Love a sleeper. What’s even better is RE Performance have just said they are going to build some more. Won’t be cheap though.

The VW Audi Skoda Seat Thread

The only flaw I could find with my R was that the engine lacked character. It’s brilliantly effective, but a bit one dimensional. Definitely see an RS3 or a TTRS in my future. I love a five pot engine from my Volvo days.

The VW Audi Skoda Seat Thread

The guy from VW who developed it and a few reviews said the same thing, They built on what they learned from the Golf and managed to make the T-Roc R better. I still think there’s just something inherently “right” about the Mk7 Golf though, they really hit the sweet spot.

Project Binky - mini 4x4 turbo celica engine

I wouldn’t class them as “YouTubers”, just a couple of blokes with quirky senses of humour and actual jobs who are sharing their distinctly OCD projects. I find it hard to get worked up about the content one way or the other, I just find it an enjoyable watch. The whole thing is shot through...

Project Binky - mini 4x4 turbo celica engine

I enjoyed it, it was fun and a diverting way to waste a bit of time. The “cutting a dash” joke alone was worth the price of admission. Which, admittedly, was nothing. But still.

TrackR ... small tracking device.. put in your car?

I have an FMT-100+ from the same company on my M6 and I can’t fault it for the price. Their target market is really small fleets and business and the app isn’t exactly pretty, but it works.

Non fault claim, what would you do?

I’d give the 3rd party insurer a call, and say your insurance has suggested a claim management company for the non fault claim that their customer has admitted to, but would they like to deal directly with you instead. They will likely bite your hand off because it will save them thousands in...

182 runs way smoother and easier cold starts after changing the cambelt and déphaser pulley

I’d bet the timing was actually out and now it’s ok. It’s too much of a coincidence.

Hasn’t been on here for 18 years, so I’m guessing not. Fickle bugger, no commitment 😁

That’s a dream combination, best hot hatch drivetrain plus best hot hatch chassis. What’s not to like.

New iPad Needed, Which Is Best Spec For Price.

2nd gen iPad Pro was dropped from the supported list when iPad os 17 came out, but iPad os 16 is still getting security updates. You should be ok until 19 comes out because Apple’s usual cadence is to keep security patches going until the OS falls two version behind the current one. Given we’ve...
