Sorry to prove you wrong but the D40 isnt old LOL. It looks nearly the same as the panasonic. Also with the Kit lens it weighs only 100grams more than the Panasonic ;)
The D40 wasnt released until the end of 2006!
Knows it 2thumbs ;)
giant 400M telephoto lens for the win about 2 foot long and an extra handle
I wasnt having a go by the way simply saying you will get a better camera for less money
Sounds like duff memory. Swapping to a new slot wont solve the problem if it is. Could be memory, possibly CPU but not likely. I would however check the capacitors on the motherboard and make sure they are not leaking. The caps should be flat on top, if they are bulging or leaking a brownish...
Can I ask why not, for less money than you are paying you get a better camera with the scope to upgrade if you so wish. I dont see what you are gaining by spending more on an inferior camera as they are pretty much the same size........ So it cant be because your after a compact.
No he doesnt have to buy another lense but has the option to buy more as his skills improve. The lense on the Panny might cover a larger zoom distance but the quality will be far less. To be honest it wont be often he would need to use the massive zoom on the panny
Looking at prices it is about 239.99?
You do realise you can get a d40 with lens after cashback for about 260-270
IMO you would be daft NOT to pay the extra
LOL someone has had a problem with an Acer laptop.
Old man is on his 2nd now. Both have been trouble free. We have sold about 15 at work in the past 8 months and 1 had a problem with some faulty memory. Thats it
No it hasnt it has the SAME body as the D40 but with a 10MP sensor instead of the D40's 6MP
Personally I would go for the D40 and put the extra towards a Nikon 50MM f/1.8 lense at £70
She is a techno r****d so probably cannot figure out how to use either ;)
I used Ephpod to transfer old mans music from his old ipod to his iphone. Worked fine. Ripped it all to HDD
Cool ;)
There is a great little magazine in WHSmiths for the D40X but obviously covers the D40. Explains every feature and shizzle. Worth the £6.99 with the photo magazines
Ukaesw pointed it out to me
