Old pump sorry :D
Is the ESP sensor the unit seen in pics one and two? If so, how do I remove this correctly? As above, I'm swaping indicator stalk and there doesn't seem to be any info on this model of car.
Are these good enough to pull off with 15" Speedline 2118's?
Thinking of ditching my coilovers and using my old dampers/lowering springs... When I had the standard suspension setup with these wheels it looked utter tripe :dead:
Pics please if anyone has them...
If you go on their website there is a pdf document to help install the kit. As per pm, the tophat spacer fits onto the bottom of the bearing then slide onto the coilovers. The second spacer with the hex head iir, fits onto the top of the bearing. I'm not sure why your damper adjuster is fouling...
It first happened at Donington Tony, we thought it might have been a small issue so fitted the catch tank. Oulton just proved that the problem got worse :(
We will see what the outcome is when Fred has a ganders at it, we have all winter for the re-build so no urgent rush. It's a shame as we...
Cheers Jonny, will keep you in mind if we do need parts to fix it. Fingers crossed it wont be a big bill.
Yeah the engine pulls even with that noise, we have gone over it many times but nothing pin points to anything specific. We knew deep down it needed a re-build but I guess Oulton was the...
All depends what Fred finds when he strips it. I'd quite like to push the boat out but we have a set budget and I'm moving next week so can't go silly on anything. The main aim will be to get it working efficiently again, then maybe look into cams. The eninge is/was very strong and the...
If the orange were a bit deeper then you would have pulled it off. We were going to do fluro orange 2118's for our track car, does look proper bo but not for a daily :(
Not worth it tbh, yes they sound mint when they pop and the stench of petrol is great but unless your looking to chase small fractions of performance and time on a track is it really worth is? It's also a pain swapping it over for the MOT and back again and the chance that if you bin the car or...
Seems to build up oil pressure around the track then deposit a large sum in the catch tank. Last week at Oulton it sounded a bit worse for ware so will be strpping it down to sort the problem.
Pap design but they are good stopping power! Only major downside is the pad thickness... Next time Sam lets you drive it on track will see what you say after that ;) x
I can vouch for this, we have the strutbrace/top mount combo and the feel/handle of the car so so much better than before. Very worthy mod for any track car and it transformed our "floaty" GAZ coilovers.
I can take some pics if needed, otherwise cannot be arsed.
In regards to what Fred said, they are pressed in. The car has done several trackdays with no problem at all but I was shocked at the movement they give. Fred just tacked some washers onto the bolt to ensure it will never come off.
