Have flashed back a Megane 265 trophy, saw each other a few times and acknowledged each other but the 265 has since been sold so my Megane friend has gone :tongueclosed:
Got a wave from a fella driving a Gordini 200 in coulsdon the other day and I waved back
There's a blue 200 that's local as...
I did mine last year. Just took them out, cleaned them and have them a coat of halfords Matt black spray paint. Wanted the same texture to them that they have standard, just hated that they had faded. Did the job.
Before
During
After
This is what the matt paint dried to (only have a...
If your scuttle drain holes block it will leak water as it builds up, especially after heavy rain, and can cause damage to the UPC although normally it's the ECU that suffers..
Check your scuttle for blocks as a matter of urgency because further water ingress is going to make things a lot worse...
I ran my 197 for 4 years as a daily. Had standard seats and it wasn't cup packed for the whole reason it was a daily as well as occasional fun.
I was doing 20 miles a day rising to 80 miles a day.
I was doing more money then I care to think about in fuel and I will admit the car isn't an easy...
saturday about 345pm.
Nimbus 200 came up behind me just after the BP garage on chipstead valley road and was behind me until the lights by the post office.
I went left and he went right, young lad driving it
Can't miss my Car it was the liquid yellow Megane 275 trophy. I did flash my hazards to...
As above look below the start/stop button to the right at the bottom. There is a slot there for it but you cannot start the car without a foot on either the clutch or brake and a press of the start/stop button.
That key is a backup for if the keyless entry fails. The only place for it is on the...
I wish that was all I did. My 197 used to do 10-15k annually depending on where I was placed with work.
At that low kind of mileage it'd be easier to live with day to day then the amount of time I spend in my car.
I may take you up in that. I've been the last 2 years with my Clio but this was when my mates had Clios and we have all changed our cars over the last year lol
I have a year before my first 3 get wiped and 3 before the recent 6 I picked up go, so a while of living on the edge
Nah but the whole point's the trophy R is aimed at people wanting a toy. Not comfort and everyday use. Although no doubt some people would run it as a daily.
The recaros are so comfortable. The R has fixed buckets doesn't it. The attention to detail in the Megane is great and it all feels like quality items. Wow wish my insurance was that cheap again. Once all my points expire I'm sure it will be lol
When you only have an iPhone you make do.
Love the noise the Akropovic makes. It's nice in normal mode but in sports it really gets mean and pops a lot.
Let's hope Ford sort out how easily their cars are being taken. Atm they seem to be the car thiefs choice.
Renault reckon that they should...
Stu that's the trophy R. Even more limited and the one that took the ring back for Renault.
I 'tested' mine and that was it. They really are great cars.
Only issues I've heard and that's gearbox mounts and something else but they are fairly solid even the 250s I've not heard of a lot of problems about.
Compared to the mk2 Megane Renault steeped their game up.
Shot of the recaros (The steering wheel is trimmed in alcantra)
Yeah I had powerfold on my clio and yes they are set so they are a 'softer' ride but if I want I can change it. Tbf on 19s it's as low as I'm comfortable having it. Speed bump central where I drive.
Only the trophy R had them as standard.
Recaros are leather and alecantra with red Detailing...
Yeah the ride is great, I have it soft because the roads I use are a nightmare and anything else will break my spine lol
2 things it doesn't have, powerfold mirrors and a pano sunroof.
I gathered they'd be mega money as the R27 ones aren't cheap at all.
I'm not hard to fine but I'm not...
Thanks she is my pride and joy and I love the fact that most people do a double take when they see its a young looking woman driving it XD
I've worked my ass off for this car so happy with it though
They are standard on all the 275. I'm on the fence but they are growing on me and chances are they would cost a fortune to replace if I did remove them (because R£nault)
Scared my brother yesterday, he was standing behind it and I put a little pressure on the accelerator, forgetting it was in...
It's been a few years of drooling over every Megane 250^ Before I've been in a position to just go and get one. Probably still a bit sooner then is sensible tbh but when the right one shows up it's so so hard to walk away.
It's a great car and very capable.
The trophy R looks crazy but for me...
So Friday I said a tearful farewell to my 197. Signed the rest of the paperwork, service plan stuff. Got the keys, a quick demo of the rs monitor (I still don't know what everything it does)
Checked they'd changed the tyres, I'd noticed they were low when I brought it but 4 new bridgestones...
Yeah as an extra they can have ohlins dampers.
The 3 extras where
Ohlins dampers
19 inch alloys
Bridgestone rubber (I think could be another make though)
I wanted an akro exhaust for the 197 but it would have been far too loud for the times I work. The megane seems to be loud only when you want...
Trophys only have 3 extras.
Trophy spec is half leather half alcantra interior with red detailing, red belts and recaros. Renault monitor 2.0 ( I can change my pedal maps, crazy) akropovic exhaust, has all the auto wipers/lights, dual zone climate control and all the usual cup goodies
Yeah it...
I’ve been the proud owner of my albi blue 197 for some 4 years now.
2 days ago I happened to get stuck waiting out the rain at a Renault dealership (thank you broken windscreen wipers)
And lo and behold a 275 trophy was parked up for sale.
It was love at first test drive and a night spent...
I do 80 miles a day. I have the original non revised gearbox (means I sit higher in the rev range) I regularly get 380/400 miles out of a full tank (95 Ron I get a few more out of 98/99ron)
so from a 200 with a revised gearbox I could see it.
55litres is correct (around 12-13 gallons)
