It's a shame you're in yorkshire Matt or I'd take a look. It sounds to me like you're not used to the CDV (which is s**t) and so it feels like the clutch is slipping, when it's really being delayed (by the CDV) so you can't just ram it in and blow the clutch to pieces.
Matthew, we need to talk why you think it's on it's way out, and why on earth you think it needs a flywheel???
I reckon if you gave it a half a go you could have the clutch done for <350 all in. Not to mention removing the CDV at the same time.
Looks epic! Why had no one told me about this? :rasp:
I'd definitely be game for similar later in the year! I'm actually heading to wales in the morning :D
Cheers chap
100% agree. For the price, or even several k more, there's nothing. I'm either going to end up with a boxster $$$ or a newer one of these.
Cheers chap, I've wanted new grilles for ages and I've just been lazy. At the price of these, I couldn't turn it down. Cost me £10 ffs...
Went out early this morning and picked up a new parts finally off of a forum member.
Got:
Two new sideskirts (already silver) because one of mine has some VERY slight damage that really gets on my nerves
Some proper black plastic grilles as opposed to the painted chipped ones of mine

Cracking work bro, I've just finished a 14 hour day and I've not even checked CS once! Missed all this.
It looks superb mate, actually better than it did in my head. I love the black wheels (and I hate black wheels) it looks so aggressive!
Car looks smashing Matt, I'm unsure as to why you used the sponge too. No idea if it was leather safe etc!!!
I bought that gold class stuff and took it straight back, was far too slippery for me. Bought gliptone cleaner and conditioner instead and was seriously impressed.
It's generally the female side within the block on the car's end Steve.
Pull the clip on the plug remove them all individually and give them a quick once over with wire wool. Quick go over of the cluster with a cotton bud or similar to dry it out and it'll be sorted.
